Seahawks' Cam Akers: Third consecutive elevation

The Seahawks elevated Akers from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Akers has spent the last five weeks with the Seahawks and has been elevated to the active roster for the last three contests. He has played exclusively on special teams in the first two of those games and is likely to see a similar role in Saturday's NFC West showdown.
