Texans' Matthew Godin: Tears ACL during preseason contest

Godin suffered a torn ACL against the Saints, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The news is especially tough considering it looked as if Godin had a chance to make the team. Following the injury, it's possible the team will waive the injured rookie. Godin, just 23 years old, will have the chance to earn a spot on an NFL roster once he recovers from the torn ACL roughly nine months from now.
