  • Raiders' Dylan Laube: Healthy scratch for Week 7

Laube (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams. Laube has played in the Raiders' last three games, but he lost a fumble on his first NFL rushing attempt in Week 6 against the Steelers. His next chance at suiting up will be Week 8 against the Chiefs on Oct. 27. The Raiders will go with a three-man backfield of Zamir White, Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah for Sunday's contest.

  • Raiders' Dylan Laube: Loses fumble on first NFL carry

Laube lost a fumble on his only carry in Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Steelers. The first offensive snap and rushing attempt of Laube's young NFL career resulted in a fumble, as the sixth-round rookie had the ball punched out of his arms by Steelers All-Pro T.J. Watt late in the second quarter. Laube didn't see the field on offense for the remainder of the contest, and with fellow running back Zamir White (groin) possibly returning against the Rams in Week 7, Laube could remain limited to a special-teams role.

  • Raiders' Dylan Laube: Healthy scratch again

Laube (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Ravens. Laube will be a healthy scratch for the second week in a row to kick off the 2024 campaign. The rookie sixth-round selection remains behind Zamir White, Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah on the team's positional depth chart and may need any injury to occur to make his NFL debut.

  • Raiders' Dylan Laube: Looks sharp early on

Laube has been making a case to earn some playing time early on this coming season, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic. Offensive coordinator Luke Getsy said the rookie sixth-round pick is "off to a great start," after head coach Antonio Pierce noted of Laube on Friday, "That dude is special. I like him...and he's gritty. he's a gritty RB. One thing - he surprises you with his speed." That said, Tafur acknowledges that Laube currently slots in behind fellow backs Zamir White, Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah. The rookie is a threat to take over Abdullah's role on third downs and could also get a look on kick returns.

  • Raiders' Dylan Laube: Las Vegas picks up in sixth round

The Raiders selected Laube in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 208th overall. Laube was an extremely productive workhorse at New Hampshire, but at 5-foot-10, 206 pounds Laube has a frame more conventionally seen among third-down backs. That should suit Laube just fine -- Laube averaged more than five catches per game in his final two seasons and is clearly comfortable catching passes. Zamir White appears locked in as starter for Las Vegas and the duo of Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah both excel on passing downs, but Laube has better pure pass-catching ability than any of them.
