Tim Tebow two-point experiment fails in Eagles win over Packers
Tim Tebow's career as a two-point specialist might already be over.
When the Eagles signed Tim Tebow back in April, there was a theory that coach Chip Kelly was only bringing Tebow to Philadelphia to be a two-point specialist.
If that's the case though, then Tebow might not last much longer in Philly.
Kelly decided to use Tebow with the Eagles first-team offense for two two-point conversion attempts in Saturday's 39-26 win over the Packers and the fourth-string quarterback went 0-for-2.
On the first conversion, Tebow ran a quarterback draw and came up about a yard short.
On the second attempt, Tebow tried to hit Nelson Agholor on a slant, but instead, threw right into the arms of a Packers defender.

Throws like that aren't going to help anyone win a job, especially a fourth-string quarterback.
After the game, Kelly was asked if Tebow might turn into the team's two-point specialist.
"No. We were just trying to see what going for two was like," Kelly said. "We didn't look at it that way."
That being said, even if Kelly was trying to turn Tebow into a two-point guy, he wouldn't tell us.
Although the Eagles two-point experiment with Tebow was a failure against the Packers, Kelly did say on Monday that Tebow's first miss could partly be blamed on the offensive line.
"We had penetration up front, so Tim [QB Tim Tebow] had to cut it back and then we had an unblocked guy coming off the backside edge. We've got to kind of solidify the penetration up there so we can press a little bit longer on the front side."
Tebow might've struggled on two-pointers, but he was perfect in non-two-point situations. The Eagles quarterback finished 2 for 2 for 15 yards against the Packers.
If Tebow's going to make the Eagles roster, he'll probably need to impress Kelly in Philadelphia's final preseason game. The Eagles travel to New York on Thursday to take on the Jets.
