Bears' Roschon Johnson: Inefficient as runner in victory
Johnson rushed five times for eight yards and caught two passes for 25 yards in the Bears' 35-16 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Johnson has handled between seven and 10 touches in each of the last three games. The running back has not rushed for four yards per carry in any game this season. Johnson will remain a TD-dependent fantasy option unless his role increases.

Bears' Roschon Johnson: Scores twice in victory
Johnson rushed 10 times for 25 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears' 36-10 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Johnson has been the clear change-of-pace runner behind D'Andre Swift since Week 3. During that time, the running back is averaging 10 touches, 34 yards and a touchdown. Although the yardage has been ordinary, the goal-line usage gives Johnson added fantasy value. If Swift happens to miss time at some point, Johnson would likely see a further expansion of his role in the offense.

Bears' Roschon Johnson: Finds end zone in victory
Johnson rushed seven times for 26 yards and a touchdown in the Bears' 24-18 win over the Rams on Sunday.
After impressing in his first action of the year in Week 3, Johnson served as the clear No. 2 running back behind D'Andre Swift this week. With Swift having his best game of the season, Johnson may not push Swift for the lead role right now. However, Johnson may have done enough to retain change-of-pace duties with possible goal-line opportunities.

Bears' Roschon Johnson: Role could expand Week 4
Johnson could be in store for an expanded role in Sunday's game against the Rams after accounting for 62 yards from scrimmage on 12 touches in the Bears' Week 3 loss to the Colts, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
While head coach Matt Eberflus hasn't said outright that Johnson has earned more opportunities, the second-year back made a compelling case to pick up extra snaps and touches on the heels of his Week 3 performance. He was a rare bright spot in a Chicago rushing attack that has struggled mightily on the whole through the first three games. Starter D'Andre Swift has been limited to just 1.8 yards per carry on 37 totes, while Khalil Herbert (eight carries for 16 yards) hasn't fared much better in a more limited sample. Johnson, meanwhile, was a healthy inactive Week 1 and was limited to a special-teams role Week 2 before he capitalized on his first offensive snaps of the season in Indianapolis. Heading into the Week 4 game, the Bears probably won't offer much clarity on how the backfield snaps will be distributed, but Johnson at least makes for an appealing speculative add in leagues where he's available on the waiver wire.

Bears' Roschon Johnson: Leads Bears in rushing
Johnson rushed eight times for 30 yards while catching four passes for 32 yards in the Bears' 21-16 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
With Travis Homer (finger) inactive, Johnson took advantage of his first offensive snaps of the season. Although D'Andre Swift led Johnson in touches by a 17-13 count, Johnson was clearly the more effective player. With Swift struggling to start the season, it remains to be seen if Johnson can carve out a larger role in the offense going forward.

Bears' Roschon Johnson: Healthy scratch Sunday
Johnson (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Titans.
The Bears placed a cap on Johnson's practice reps Wednesday and Thursday due to a toe injury, but after Friday's full session, he didn't carry a designation into the weekend. No matter, he won't be available to the Bears offense Week 1, leaving Khalil Herbert and Travis Homer as the reserve running backs behind D'Andre Swift. Johnson will turn his focus to making his season debut next Sunday at Houston.

Bears' Roschon Johnson: Cleared for Week 1
Johnson (toe) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Johnson missed a lot of practices and preseason games in August but isn't in any doubt for Week 1 after upgrading to full practice participation Friday. His role is less clear, as D'Andre Swift and Khalil Herbert figure to take most, if not all, of the carries, and Swift may also be preferred over Johnson in passing situations.

Bears' Roschon Johnson: Remains limited Thursday
Johnson (toe) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
Johnson missed the Bears' final three preseason games after appearing in the Hall of Fame game on Aug. 1. Even if Johnson is active for Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Titans, he appears to be firmly behind D'Andre Swift and Khalil Herbert on the backfield depth chart. Johnson has minimal redraft fantasy value at the moment.
