Wood (hamstring) has been shut down for the remainder of the season, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Wood was slated to miss a second consecutive game Wednesday due to a lingering hamstring injury, but the Rockets will elect to keep him out for the final week and a half of the year. The 26-year-old appeared in a career-high 68 games during his second season with the Rockets and averaged 17.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 30.8 minutes per game. Alperen Sengun (lower leg), Usman Garuba and Kenyon Martin should see additional run in the frontcourt down the stretch.
