Linus Ullmark G | OTT
Senators' Linus Ullmark: Out 1-2 weeks
Ullmark (lower body) is expected to miss the next 1-2 weeks, Claire Hanna of TSN reports Thursday.
Ullmark was placed on injured reserve after suffering the injury during Wednesday's game against Florida, so we already knew that he'd miss at least a week, and it seems he's not expected to miss much more than that. The 33-year-old has a 7-1-0 record, 1.33 GAA and .945 save percentage in eight appearances this campaign. Jonas Johansson has been called up from the minors, and he's set to be Samuel Ersson's understudy for Thursday's home game against San Jose.

Dries was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Thursday.
Dries has no points, a minus-3 rating, five shots, 19 hits and six blocks in six regular-season outings with Detroit in 2026-27. His return to the minors corresponds with Detroit taking J.T. Compher (undisclosed) off injured reserve.

O'Connor (lower body) will return for Friday's game against Tampa Bay, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.

The 30-year-old recorded no goals, two assists, 11 hits, four PIM and three blocked shots while averaging 11:27 of ice time across 13 regular-season appearances with Colorado, and he's slated to take on a bottom-six role now that he's healthy.

The Red Wings recalled Michal Postava from AHL Grand Rapids on Thursday, and he'll likely serve as John Gibson's backup during Thursday's road matchup against Vancouver. The exact nature and severity of Tarasov's injury aren't yet clear, and whether he'll be available Saturday in Calgary remains to be seen.

J.T. Compher LW | DET
Red Wings' J.T. Compher: Set to play against Canucks
Compher (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup versus Vancouver on Thursday, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Compher will make his return following a seven-game stint on the sidelines due to his undisclosed injury. With the 31-year-old forward returning, the Wings will likely go back to utilizing 12 forwards, which means Andreas Englund could find himself relegated to the press box as a healthy scratch.

Nicolas Roy C | COL
Avalanche's Nicolas Roy: Won't play Friday
Roy (lower body) is expected to miss Friday's game against Tampa Bay, per Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now.

Blues' Zach Dean: Waived by St. Louis
Dean was placed on waivers by the Blues on Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

He was included on the Opening Night roster but appeared in just three of the team's first nine games of the regular season. He was held scoreless with five hits and four PIM while averaging 9:58 of ice time across that three-game span. He'll presumably have more consistent opportunities to make an impact with AHL Springfield, assuming he clears waivers.
