Remember the crying, booing, selfie-taking, young New York Knicks fan from draft night? It now looks like that kid was very wrong about Kristaps Porzingis, who has quickly endeared himself to the city of New York with putback dunks and monster performances. There's newfound hope for the Knicks, and apparently even his most vocal critic has done a 180 on the rookie.
"I heard that he already has my jersey," Porzingis said on 98.7 FM ESPN New York, via ESPN's Ian Begley.
If true, that is absolutely perfect. And it should be a reminder to everybody next June: If you are freaking out about your team's draft pick, remember Porzingis and the crying kid. Don't be like the crying kid.
