Garvin was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
Garvin's activation comes as the Packers are enjoying a bye week coming off their victory over the Rams. The second-year pro should be ready to return in Week 14 against Chicago. Serving in a rotational role in the Packers' linebacker unit, Garvin has 12 tackles and 1.5 sacks on the season.

Packers' Jonathan Garvin: Tests positive for COVID-19
Garvin has tested positive for COVID-19, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Garvin landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday and has apparently tested positive for the virus. It's not yet clear whether the linebacker is vaccinated, but he appears unlikely to suit up for Sunday's game against the Rams. If he's ultimately inactive, Tipa Galeai could see an increased snap count since the Packers' outside linebackers are banged up ahead of Week 12.

Garvin has had a steady role in the Packers' linebacker group in his second year. Most recently drawing the start in their Week 11 loss to the Vikings, filling in for Rashan Gary (elbow). Garvin has served as a rotational player among the Packers' linebacker corps this season, though with Rashan Gary (elbow) sidelined, he will see an increased role. Through 10 games this season, Garvin has recorded 11 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Garvin notched two tackles (one solo) and a half sack in Sunday's 30-28 victory over the 49ers.
Garvin finished his 2020 rookie season with a zero in the sack column, but he finally got on the board in Week 3 of his sophomore campaign. He is operating as the Packers' third edge rusher in the absence of Green Bay's top sack artist, Za'Darius Smith (back).
