Marcus Lee will have to sit out next season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Kentucky transfer Marcus Lee has committed to California, sources told CBS Sports on Saturday.
He must sit out next season per NCAA rules and has one year of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot9 big man averaged 6.4 points and 6.0 rebounds last season at Kentucky.
Lee gives the Bears a solid replacement for Ivan Rabb, who opted to return to Cal instead of entering the 2016 NBA Draft, for the 2017-18 season.
