Johnny Dawkins will not return next season as Stanford's men's basketball coach, a source confirmed to CBS Sports on Monday afternoon.
A formal announcement is expected soon.
Dawkins made one NCAA Tournament in eight years at Stanford. The Cardinal finished 15-15 this season. Dawkins' all-time Pac-12 record is 66-78. He finished seventh or worse in the Pac-12 in five of his eight seasons but made the Sweet 16 in 2014.
