Vancouver traded Studnicka to San Jose in exchange for Nick Cicek and a sixth-round draft pick Friday.
Studnicka scored in his season debut with the Canucks but appeared in just five NHL games before hitting waivers. Since then, he's tallied seven points in nine AHL contests. The 24-year-old could land some more NHL playing time with the Sharks but it's unclear if he'll report to AHL San Jose first.
