  • Jack Hughes C | NJ

Devils' Jack Hughes: Two-point effort Thursday

Hughes produced a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.

The 25-year-old center helped set up the opening goal of the night by Arseny Gritsyuk early in the first period before adding his own empty-netter late in the third. Hughes has three multi-point performances in the last seven games, and over 10 contests to begin the season he's collected three goals on 37 shots and 11 points in total.

  • Nicolas Daws G | WPG

Devils' Nico Daws: Cruises to second win

Daws made 16 saves in Thursday's 4-1 win over Anaheim.

The road-weary Ducks didn't put up much of a fight, and Daws took a shutout into the third period until Tim Washe tipped home a shot from the blue line by Jackson LaCombe. Daws has won two straight starts, and over four outings to begin the season he's 2-2-0 with a 2.77 GAA and .874 save percentage, positioning him as more of a 1B option behind Jake Allen rather than the clear backup.

  • Ville Husso G | ANA

Ducks' Ville Husso: Downed by Devils

Husso stopped 25 of 28 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to New Jersey. The Devils' final goal was scored into an empty net.

The Devils jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period, and while Husso kept the Ducks in the contest, his offense never got going while playing its third game in four nights on an east coast road swing. Husso has gone 1-2-0 in his first four outings of the season with a 3.09 GAA and .888 save percentage, numbers which won't put any pressure on Lukas Dostal at the top of the depth chart.

  • Rangers' Justin Dowling: Nabs assist

Dowling posted an assist and two hits in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Dowling is holding onto a fourth-line role for now, though the Rangers' signing of Luke Glendening could infringe on his usage there. Dowling has one helper, no shots on net, three hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over four games this season. The helper was his first point since the 2024-25 campaign.

  • Tye Kartye LW | NYR

Rangers' Tye Kartye: Puts away goal in loss

Kartye scored a goal on two shots, added four hits and went minus-2 in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Kartye has a goal and an assist over his last two games. The 25-year-old forward is still holding onto a second-line role at even strength, which has allowed him to set a strong pace early in the season. He's picked up three goals, five assists, 16 shots on net, 30 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 12 outings. Considering he had a career-high 22 points in 64 appearances in 2025-26, Kartye will likely cool off eventually, especially if he gets shuffled back down to the bottom six.

  • Rangers' Oliver Bjorkstrand: Tallies in loss

Bjorkstrand scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Bjorkstrand has three goals over his last two games. The 31-year-old winger is up to five tallies, one assist, 19 shots on net and a plus-1 rating over 12 outings this season. There are some concerns here -- Bjorkstrand is playing on the fourth line, averaging 10:38 of ice time while shooting 26.3 percent. His luck will run out eventually, though he has reached the 20-goal mark on six occasions in his career, most recently in 2024-25.

  • Rangers' Alexis Lafreniere: Buries another goal

Lafreniere scored a goal and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Lafreniere had gone three games without a goal, though he had three assists in that span. The 25-year-old winger has seemingly put it all together early in the 2026-27 campaign, earning eight goals, six assists, 23 shots on net, 13 hits, 14 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 12 appearances. His career high is 28 goals from 2023-24. While he won't shoot 34.8 percent all year, a 30-goal campaign looks to be within reach for the 2020 first-overall pick.

  • Jake McCabe D | TOR

Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Contributes assist Thursday

McCabe notched an assist, five shots on net and four blocked shots in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Rangers.

McCabe was able to avoid missing time after taking a scary high stick around his eye in the Maple Leafs' previous game. His vision appears to be fine, as he threaded a nice pass to Easton Cowan for the opening goal Thursday. McCabe has just the one helper this season to go with 13 shots on net, 16 hits, 25 blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-1 rating. His production in the physical stats will allow him to carry some fantasy value in banger leagues and deep formats.

  • Easton Cowan RW | TOR

Maple Leafs' Easton Cowan: Keeps rolling with goal

Cowan scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Rangers.

Cowan has four points over his last two games. The 21-year-old winger is making noise in a top-six role at even strength while also working on the second power-play unit. Cowan is up to five goals, six assists, 27 shots on net, 10 hits and a plus-1 rating over 12 appearances. The near-point-per-game pace won't last forever, but Cowan looks to be setting the foundation of a breakout year.

  • Sharks' Barclay Goodrow: Bags apple in win

Goodrow notched an assist and two hits in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Senators.

The helper was Goodrow's first point of the campaign. He's filled a fourth-line role so far, adding 12 shots on net, 27 hits and seven PIM. With primarily defensive usage, Goodrow doesn't make for a strong fantasy option even though it appears his spot in the lineup is fairly safe.
