Want to know what I think of every pick made in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft plus all the other rounds? I graded all the Round 7 picks below. You can keep track of all the picks for the entire draft and my grades in our draft tracker.
Grades: Round 1 • Round 2 • Round 3 • Round 4 • Round 5 • Round 6 • Round 7
222. Jaguars: Montaric Brown, CB, Arkansas
Grade: A-
Heady zone-coverage specialist with stellar instincts, good tackling ability and high-level ball skills. Feet and eyes are tied together. Low-controlled backpedal. Wins with his football IQ and length. Value City.
223. Browns: Isaiah Thomas, EDGE, Oklahoma
Grade: A
NFL-sized EDGE with heavy hands and an energetic style around the corner. Awesome swim move. Decent explosiveness. Ready to contribute from Day 1. More EDGE help for Cleveland.
224. Dolphins: Cameron Goode, LB, California
Grade: A-
Explosive old-school 3-4 OLB type. Drops into coverage effortlessly and has a serious outside speed rush with good bend around the corner. Some pass-rush moves. High-upside type. Length and power are lacking.
225. Steelers: Mark Robinson, LB, Ole Miss
Grade: C-
Instinctive between-the-tackle run stuffer with short compact stature. Speed and overall range is limited, but he reads his keys in a hurry. Hustle could help him outplay his draft position.
226. Bears: Ja'Tyre Carter, OL, Southern
Grade: B+
Athleticism and under-control style pop on film. Can play multiple positions, but probably a center or guard at the next level after playing left tackle in college. Run-game work is high-end. Hand work and power could improve
227. Vikings: Nick Muse, TE, South Carolina
Grade: C+
Athletic underneath weapon at TE. High-energy blocker who gives it his all in those scenarios. Not a contested-catch type who wins by boxing out. Average speed down the middle.
228. Packers: Tariq Carpenter, S, Georgia Tech
Grade: C-
Big-time tester who's much more of a linebacker than a safety. For as explosive as it is in a thick frame, his change-of-direction skill leaves a lot to be desired, and he misses a lot of tackles.
229. Seahawks: Bo Melton, WR, Rutgers
Grade: C+
Gadget type in college who ran super-fast at the combine but doesn't play to that speed on the field. Tiny frame and plays to it. Battles after the catch and flashed a bit in that area but not incredibly elusive.
230. Commanders: Chris Paul, OL, Tulsa
Grade: B+
OT/OG type who flashes above-average athleticism and recovery skill. Hand work is messy but better than his teammate Tyler Smith, who went in Round 1. Plenty of ugly wins on film. Better in pass pro than as a run blocker. Smart selection here.
231. Bills: Baylon Spector, LB, Clemson
Grade: B-
Rare linebacker prospect on Day 3 who can flip his hips and cover. Play ID'ing ability is noticeably delayed. Block-shedding is average. Checks the size/athleticism boxes. Raw type with some upside.
232. Broncos: Faion Hicks, CB, Wisconsin
Grade: D+
Raw coverage defensive back with elite-level testing figures that do pop on film on occasion by way of changing directions.
233. Seahawks: Dareke Young, WR, Lenoir-Rhyne
Grade: B+
Big, chiseled, overpowering WR at the Division II level. Not a separator but can win through contact and is a train in the open field. Very Seahawks selection.
234. Packers: Jonathan Ford, DL, Miami
Grade: C-
Enormous NT prospect who looks the part off the snap but is very raw when it comes to beating blockers to halt the run or get after the QB.
235. Rams: Daniel Hardy, DL, Montana State
Grade: B-
Burst and outside speed rusher with NFL-caliber length. Doesn't have pass-rush plans. This is a traits-based selection because he tested through the roof at his pro day.
236. Chargers: Deane Leonard, CB, Ole Miss
Grade: C-
Speedy outside cornerback with good hips and feet. Mirroring ability is lacking. Not a quick reactor and had minimal ball productivity in college.
237. Lions: Chase Lucas, CB, Arizona State
Grade: B-
Already 25 years old, which is the biggest knock on his profile. Everything he does athletically and as a coverage player is high level. Feet, ball skills, awareness, speed.
238. Raiders: Thayer Munford, OL, Ohio State
Grade: B-
OT/OG flexibility but wasn't a star at either spot in college. Big-time athlete with burst/short-area quickness. Anchor is solid. Opens the gate too early in pass pro. Lunger and off-balance far too often. Worth a flier in Round 7.
239. Colts: Rodney Thomas II, LB, Yale
Grade: C-
Tall, well-built, explosive defensive back with cornerback and safety flexibility. More of a high-caliber athlete than a tremendous football player right now. There's some kick return ability to his game, too.
240. Commanders: Christian Holmes, CB, Oklahoma State
Grade: C
Well-sized outside cornerback. Aggressive player who really likes to crowd routes. Will get some flags thrown on him. Change of direction can be labored.
241. Steelers: Chris Oladokun, QB, South Dakota State
Grade: C+
Athletic, arm-talent quarterback who's unafraid to let it rip at all levels. Occasionally makes bad decision and trusts his arm too much. Not going to be a designed run game type but definitely has some creativity.
242. Panthers: Kalon Barnes, CB, Baylor
Grade: B-
Fastest man at this year's combine. Not terribly raw in coverage but faster than anything else. Decently twitchy with average ball skills. Wish he played to his speed more frequently.
243. Chiefs: Jaylen Watson, CB, Washington State
Grade: B+
This is a defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo type CB. Long, smothering press man type. More of an explosive athlete than an advanced cornerback right now, but this is the time to take a tools-y prospect.
244. Cardinals: Christian Matthew, DB, Valdosta State
Grade: C+
Towering, thick, explosive outside defensive back with major length. Wins with physicality throughout the route. Speed is good, not great. Feels a lot like Marco Wilson pick last year.
245. Patriots: Andrew Stueber, OL, Michigan
Grade: B-
Big, bruising blocker with OT/OG flexibility. Well balanced but very heavy footed. Hand work is good, resets his hands when battling. Leans into blocks too often, making him susceptible to counters. Just met athletic requirements to be a decent run blocker, too.
246. Browns: Dawson Deaton, OL, Texas Tech
Grade: A
Taller center with clean film in college. Rarely see him on the ground. Some ugly wins but can really recover. Knee bend is great and moves to the second level in a controlled manner. Will outplay his draft position. Awesome selection.
247. Dolphins: Skylar Thompson, QB, Kansas State
Grade: B+
Run-pass weapon at QB in college but didn't test like a high-caliber athlete. Makes smart decisions and improved each year as a passer in his long career. Smaller. Reads coverages decently well and won't make many mistakes.
248. Buccaneers: Andre Anthony, EDGE, LSU
Grade: D+
This is a major roll of the dice. 2021 season was cut short due to injury. Smaller-framed type who can get controlled often by bigger blockers. Burst/bend is there. Not a pass-rush plan type at this stage of his career.
249. Packers: Rasheed Walker, OT, Penn State
Grade: A-
Former big recruit who showcases his athletic chops on film often. Ugly wins pop more than expected, but he has invaluable recovery skills and legitimate NFL offensive tackle length. If he learns to keep the gate closed longer this can be a steal for Green Bay.
250. Raiders: Brittain Brown, RB, UCLA
Grade: D
Not someone who was on the draft radar, although he finished his career strong at UCLA after starting at Duke. Runs high without much contact balance and has good not great quickness/speed.
251. Chiefs: Isaih Pacheco, RB, Rutgers
Grade: B
Blue-collar running back who ran super-fast at the combine despite not playing to that speed in most occasions in college. Multiple seasons of hard-nosed running. Some power/contact balance. Not an elusive type whatsoever.
252. Bengals: Jeffrey Gunter, EDGE, Coastal Carolina
Grade: B+
Advanced rusher who was an ascending player during his college career. Impressive short-area quicks. Hands are more active than they are effective.
253. Rams: Russ Yeast, DB, Kansas State
Grade: C-
Chippy, decently productive smaller cornerback who gets overwhelmed by bigger wide receivers and blockers in the run game often. Speed is major concern and he's not super quick to react to routes.
254. Bears: Elijah Hicks, S, California
Grade: C
Played deep middle and spent time in the slot, which is important. Tackling is hit or miss. Above-average coverage ability in man. Smaller size for the position and coming off a foot injury.
255. Bears: Trenton Gill, P, NC State
Grade: C-
A bit surprising he was selected because of inconsistency in 2021, but he booms it with good hang time.
256. Cardinals: Jesse Luketa, LB, Penn State
Grade: C+
Tested like an explosive athlete but is much more of a high-energy player on the field. Routinely sticks to blocks but battles hard to free himself. Unique, stocky frame.
257. Cardinals: Marquis Hayes, OL, Oklahoma
Grade: A
Long-limbed pass pro specialist. Not a supreme athlete but uses his length as a weapon. Grip strength is outstanding. NFL starter frame. He'll outplay his draft position.
258. Packers: Samori Toure, WR, Nebraska
Grade: A-
Darn good football player. Smooth routes, natural hands, some YAC capabilities. Tracks it well deep and has deceptive speed. Was sensational at FCS level then was a major producer after transferring into the Big Ten.
259. Chiefs: Nazeeh Johnson, S, Marshall
Grade: B+
Super-experienced free safety/nickel cornerback hybrid who flies all over the field. Rarely out of position. Smaller stature. Hard to find a clear-cut flaw on his film. Older prospect.
260. Chargers: Zander Horvath, RB, Purdue
Grade: B-
Explosive big back, built like a fullback. Serious yards after contact type. Not a blocker. Dealt with injuries in college. Can cut and hit bigger plays than most runners his size.
261. Rams: AJ Arcuri, OL, Michigan State
Grade: C-
Average-at-best athlete who will struggle with speed rushers at the next level. Anchor is quality because of his knee bend and natural strength. Run-blocking ability is slightly above average but not someone who's going to excel in space.
262. 49ers: Brock Purdy, QB, Iowa State
Grade: C+
Longtime starter in college who got less effective as his career wore on. Rhythm passer with good accuracy when he's not disturbed in the pocket and despite minimal athleticism he creates when things break down. Arm is average.
