The Jacksonville Jaguars were a team everyone had eyes on Saturday as they took the field for their first preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. No, it wasn't because of No. 1 overall pick quarterback Trevor Lawrence, it was because of former quarterback turned baseball player turned tight end Tim Tebow.

Unfortunately, Tebow didn't record many highlights during the 23-13 loss. In fact, he played just 16 snaps, according to Pro Football Talk. Tebow was actually targeted in the passing game by quarterback Gardner Minshew at the very end of the second quarter, but wide receiver Tavon Austin appeared to steal his catch!

Tebow also had a lowlight that went viral, as a poor blocking attempt was caught on camera. He even got up and then appeared to spear a teammate with his helmet by accident.

Tebow is in the midst of a heated position battle with a loaded tight end room. The Heisman trophy winner was listed as the No. 4 tight end on Jacksonville's unofficial depth chart, and was even listed alongside two other players who are battling for that No. 4 spot. Chris Manhertz and James O'Shaughnessy are slated to be the starters and then fifth-round pick Luke Farrell may be the third-string tight end.

He's facing an uphill battle, but the Jaguars still have two preseason games left for Tebow to make an impression. Jacksonville's next exhibition matchup comes on the road against the New Orleans Saints next Monday night.
