Naquin (back) was placed on the seven-day disabled list for Triple-A Columbus on Friday.
The outfielder was taken out of Tuesday's game due to lower-back tightness, but that issue appears to be more of a concern than initially thought. It's an unfortunate development for Naquin, as he was tearing up the International League (.396/.441/.528). The 26-year-old entered the 2017 campaign with high hopes to nail down a routine role as club's big-league center fielder, but that's all come crashing down just one month into the season.
