When the Purdue Boilermakers are clicking offensively, they are unbeatable, but when they're not, things do not go well. The eighth-ranked Boilermakers are 24-0 when scoring at least 70 points this season but 0-5 when held under that total. Purdue (24-5, 13-5 Big Ten) hopes to light up the scoreboard and bounce back from a rare loss when it visits the No. 10 Wisconsin Badgers (23-5, 14-4) for a Big Ten Conference matchup on Tuesday. The Boilermakers are coming off a 68-65 setback at Michigan State on Saturday, while the Badgers are riding a four-game winning streak during which they've limited each opponent to 69 points or fewer.

Tip-off from the Kohl Center in Madison is set for 9 p.m. ET. The Boilermakers are three-point favorites in the latest Purdue vs. Wisconsin odds at Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points scored is 144. Why Purdue can cover

The Boilermakers are one victory away from reaching 25 for the 15th time in school history and ninth under coach Matt Painter. They lead the Big Ten in field-goal percentage (50.3), 3-point percentage (39.9) and assists (17.3) while ranking second in rebounding (38.2). Purdue has made over 50 percent of attempts from the field in 17 of its 29 games, the third-highest total in the nation, and at least 40 percent of its 3-point shots on 17 occasions (second-highest total).

The Boilermakers own a 5-1 record against nationally ranked teams this season, which is tied for the fourth-most such wins in the country. Sophomore guard Jaden Ivey is averaging a team-leading 17.3 points and has reached double figures in all but two of his 28 outings. Sophomore center Zach Edey scored a career-high 25 points in Saturday's defeat and recorded 24 in Purdue's 74-69 home loss to Wisconsin in January.

Why Wisconsin can cover

Motivation will not be a problem for the Badgers, who can clinch at least a share of the Big Ten regular-season title for the second time in three campaigns with a victory. They are led offensively by Jonathan Davis, who tops the squad with an average of 20.5 points and recorded a team-high 19 in Saturday's victory against the Scarlet Knights. The sophomore guard was outstanding in the triumph over Purdue earlier this season, scoring a career-best 37 points and pulling down 14 rebounds.

Davis, who also leads the Badgers in rebounding (8.3) and assists (2.3), has elevated his game when facing Wisconsin's toughest opponents as he leads the nation in scoring against top-25 teams with an average of 25.3 points. Brad Davison is scoring 14.2 points per game to rank second on the squad. The senior guard went 4-for-8 from beyond the arc against Rutgers en route to 14 points, the third time in four contests he finished in double figures.
