Yoshinobu Yamamoto LAD SP
Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto: Battles back from rough first frame
2h agoYamamoto (2-2) took the loss against San Francisco on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over seven innings.
Yamamoto looked like he could be in for a short outing after allowing five of the first six batters he faced to reach base and surrendering three runs over that span. However, the right-hander rebounded by retiring 20 of the final 22 batters to come to plate against him. Though the Dodgers' offense couldn't produce enough runs to take Yamamoto off the hook for the loss, he did manage to register his fifth straight quality start to open the campaign. The Japanese hurler leads the league in that category and has added a 2.48 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 28:5 K:BB through 32.2 innings.

Ryan Walker SF RP
Giants' Ryan Walker: Posts second save
2h agoWalker earned a save against the Dodgers on Tuesday, striking out two batters in a perfect ninth inning.
Walker inherited a two-run lead when he entered in the ninth frame. He didn't face much resistance, tossing 10 of 15 pitches for strikes while retiring the side in order. This was Walker's first save since March 30 and just his second overall on the campaign. He still appears to the Giants' primary closer, as no other pitcher on the team has more than one save so far this season.

Landen Roupp SF P
Giants' Landen Roupp: Overcomes wildness to notch win
2h agoRoupp (4-1) earned the victory over the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing one run on one hit and five walks while striking out seven batters over five innings.
Roupp battled his control in the outing, issuing a season-high five free passes while throwing just 58 of 106 pitches for strikes. However, he balanced that with seven punchouts and yielded only one hit while inducing 12 whiffs. Roupp's elevated pitch count prevented him from going deep enough to pick up a quality start, but he pitched well enough to notch his third straight victory. The right-hander gave up five earned runs across 4.2 frames against the Mets in his second start of the season, but in his other four outings he's surrendered one or zero runs. That's earned him an overall 2.28 ERA, which he's complemented with a 1.01 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB over 27.2 innings.

Colson Montgomery CHW SS
White Sox's Colson Montgomery: Continues power surge
2h agoMontgomery went 2-for-5 with home run, a double, three total RBI and two total runs against Arizona in an 11-5 win Tuesday.
Montgomery put the first Chicago runs on the board with a two-run double in the first inning. One frame later, he belted a 440-foot solo blast for the third of back-to-back-to-back White Sox homers. Montgomery has homered in three consecutive games after going deep three times across his first 20 contests of the season. He's still striking out a ton (32.3 percent K rate) and is batting just .213, but his power is helping him maintain relevancy in most fantasy formats.

Michael Massey KC 2B
Royals' Michael Massey: Blasts clutch homer in win
2h agoMassey went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Orioles.
Massey delivered a clutch swing in the eighth inning, launching a game-tying solo-home run off Rico Garcia for his first long ball of the season, setting the stage for Kansas City's walk-off victory. The second baseman also recorded a double earlier in the game as part of a much needed two-hit performance. Massey has struggled since being brought back from the injured list, now slashing just .207/.226/.414 with three doubles and four RBI across 31 plate appearances.

White Sox's Munetaka Murakami: Homers yet again Tuesday
2h agoMurakami went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk in Tuesday's 11-5 victory versus the Diamondbacks.
Murakami belted a 426-foot solo shot in the second inning for the first of back-to-back-to back homers for Chicago. The Japanese slugger has gone deep in four straight games to raise his season total to nine long balls, tied for second-most in the league. Murakami is also striking out at a 31.3 percent rate, but he's paired that with 21 walks -- tied for third-most in the league -- and appears to have a handle on MLB pitching in his first year in MLB.

Cal Raleigh SEA C
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Goes deep again Tuesday
3h agoRaleigh went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.
Raleigh accounted for Seattle's only extra-base hit of the game with a solo homer in the fifth inning. It was the star catcher's second long ball in as many days after going deep just twice over his first 23 contests of the campaign. Raleigh is still sporting a meager .177/.266/.333 slash line and 30.3 percent strikeout rate, but his recent power surge could be an indication that he's beginning to turn things around at the plate.

Shea Langeliers ATH C
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Homers in second straight game
3h agoLangeliers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in a 5-2 win against Seattle on Tuesday.
Langeliers gave the A's a 4-2 lead with a 417-foot solo shot to center field in the seventh inning. It was his second home run in as many days and his eighth this season, tops among MLB catchers and tied for fourth-most overall in the league. Braves' Drake Baldwin: Smacks sixth homer in loss
5h agoBaldwin went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 11-4 loss to the Nationals.
Baldwin tagged lefty Foster Griffin for a solo shot in the third inning, snapping a 12-game homer-less drought for the catcher. It was Baldwin's sixth long ball of the season and his second off a left-handed pitcher. The 25-year-old is now slashing .310/.378/.530 with six homers, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored and a 9:20 BB:K across 111 trips to the plate.

Adley Rutschman BAL C
Orioles' Adley Rutschman: Makes splash in return
6h agoRutschman (ankle) went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Royals.
Rutschman made his presence felt in his return from the 10-day injured list, launching homer No. 1 on the season. The switch-hitting catcher is off to an impressive start at the dish following a disappointing 2025 regular season, when he posted a career-worst .673 OPS across 90 games. Over 43 plate appearances so far, Rutschman is slashing .316/.395/.553 with seven extra-base hits, five RBI, five walks and four runs scored.

4h agoGuerrero went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored during the Blue Jays' 4-2 win over the Angels on Tuesday.
Guerrero extended his hitting streak to 12 games thanks to his infield single in the sixth inning, and he was brought home both times he reached base during Tuesday's contest. He's been one of the hottest players at the plate in the majors this season, and during this 12-game hitting streak, Guerrero has gone 21-for-47 (.447) with one steal, one home run, eight RBI and 10 runs scored.

Jonathan Aranda TB 1B
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Hits two-run homer in loss
6h agoAranda went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, three RBI, two walks and two runs scored in Tuesday's 12-6 loss to the Reds.
After Chase Burns had breezed through five shutout innings, Aranda saw the right-hander for the third time Tuesday and took him deep on a slider. It snapped Aranda's 12-game homer-less drought, and it was just his second extra-base hit since April 7. The first baseman is now slashing .229/.356/.422 with four homers, 19 RBI, 13 runs scored and an 18:3 BB:K across 104 plate appearances.

Stewart has gone 4-for-8 with one home run, five RBI, two steals and two runs scored in two games against the Rays to begin the week. He now has eight multi-hit games this season and is slashing .299/.394/.632 with eight homers, 24 RBI, 17 runs scored, six stolen bases and a 5:18 BB:K across 104 plate appearances.

Pirates' Ryan O'Hearn: Drives in team's lone run
6h agoO'Hearn went 1-for-4 with an RBI single during the Pirates' 5-1 loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.
O'Hearn was responsible for the Pirates' lone run scored Tuesday, when his single to center field brought home Oneil Cruz. O'Hearn is up to 16 RBI on the season, which is third most on the team behind Cruz (19) and Brandon Lowe (18). O'Hearn is also sporting a .324 batting average (over 88 plate appearances), which is tied with Liam Hicks for sixth best in the majors.

Dustin Harris HOU 1B
Astros' Dustin Harris: Pulled with bruised hand
8h agoHarris was removed from Tuesday's game against the Guardians with a left hand contusion, Julia Morales of Space City Home Network reports.
Harris took a 93.6-mph sinker off his hand in the fifth inning of Tuesday's contest. He remained in the game to run for himself but was removed from the game when Houston went on defense. His diagnosis suggests he avoided a significant injury, though the Astros may look to keep him on the bench for a day or two as a precaution.

Lenyn Sosa TOR 2B
Blue Jays' Lenyn Sosa: Drives in two runs as pinch hitter
4h agoSosa went 1-for-1 with a two-run double during the Blue Jays' 4-2 win over the Angels on Tuesday.
Sosa pinch hit for Jesus Sanchez in the eighth, and the former made the most of his opportunity by smacking a two-run double off Drew Pomeranz to left field to put the Blue Jays up 3-1. Since being acquired by the Blue Jays from the White Sox on April 13, Sosa has gone 4-for-14 (.286) with two doubles and four RBI, and he has given his new team a solid boost at the plate in the absences of both George Springer (toe) and Addison Barger (ankles).

Luis Garcia WAS 2B
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Season-high four hits Tuesday
5h agoGarcia went 4-for-5 with a double, stolen base, three RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 11-4 win over Atlanta.
Garcia had a total of four hits in previous 13 games combined, so Tuesday's performance was a big boon to his batting average. After recording multiple hits in three of the Nationals' first eight games, Garcia had been just 5-for-43 (.116) at the plate over the last 14 games prior to Tuesday's season-high four hits. Garcia is now slashing .247/.284/.364 with one home run, 15 RBI, 10 runs scored, two stolen bases and a 4:12 BB:K across 81 trips to the plate.

Jazz Chisholm NYY 2B
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: First multi-hit game of season
5h agoChisholm went 2-for-4 in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Red Sox.
Chisholm's box score didn't bear much fruit, but it was notable since it snapped a 1-for-12 skid and was his first multi-hit game of the 2026 season. It only took him 23 team games to accomplish the feat. Chisholm has been dropped to seventh in the order in recent days and is slashing just .182/.276/.247 with zero home runs, three RBI, six runs scored, eight stolen bases and a 9:27 BB:K across 87 plate appearances.

Nico Hoerner CHC 2B
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Tees off again Tuesday
6h agoHoerner went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Phillies.
Hoerner continued his surprising power surge, as he now has four home runs this season through 23 contests, including three in his last six games. The 28-year-old had only seven long balls in each of the last two seasons, and he came into this year with just 36 career long balls across seven MLB campaigns. Hoerner is known mostly for his speed, but his power has been a pleasant bonus, and he's batting a scintillating .326 in the early going. The infielder's strong start has locked him into the leadoff spot for the Cubs, and he's delivering tremendous fantasy value.

Luisangel Acuna CHW 2B
White Sox's Luisangel Acuna: On bench Tuesday
10h agoAcuna is not in the White Sox's lineup in Arizona on Tuesday.
Acuna is getting a breather Tuesday after going 3-for-8 with a RBI, walk and two stolen bases in the three game series versus the Athletics over the weekend. While he begins the game on the bench Tuesday, Tristian Peters will start in center field and bat eighth.
-
Coby Mayo BAL 3B
Orioles' Coby Mayo: Breaks through with first homer
2h agoMayo went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Royals.
Mayo delivered a much-needed swing, launching a three-run homer off Kris Bubic in the second inning for his first long ball of the season. The long ball accounted for most of Baltimore's offense and marked a potential turning point after the young first baseman's slow start. Entering Tuesday, Mayo was slashing just .148/.258/.185 with only two extra-base hits across 62 plate appearances. He'll need to rattle off more performances like this one to solidify his role moving forward.

Twins' Royce Lewis: Returns from injured list
17h agoThe Twins reinstated Lewis (knee) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
The 26-year-old landed on the shelf after suffering the knee sprain April 9, and he's back with the Twins after a two-game rehab assignment. Lewis has an .822 OPS with two homers and two steals through 45 plate appearances this season, and he carried that hot bat into his rehab stint with a long ball in each contest.

Muncy put the Dodgers on the board with a second-inning solo shot and added another in the ninth. The four-hit performance capped a four-game series against the Rockies during which Muncy went 10-for-17 with four long balls and five RBI. The veteran slugger already has three multi-homer games on the campaign and is tied for third in MLB with eight total home runs through 21 contests.

White Sox's Colson Montgomery: Continues power surge

Montgomery put the first Chicago runs on the board with a two-run double in the first inning. One frame later, he belted a 440-foot solo blast for the third of back-to-back-to-back White Sox homers. Montgomery has homered in three consecutive games after going deep three times across his first 20 contests of the season. He's still striking out a ton (32.3 percent K rate) and is batting just .213, but his power is helping him maintain relevancy in most fantasy formats.

White Sox's Sam Antonacci: Collects inside-the-park homer
2h agoAntonacci went 2-for-5 with a home run, a triple and three total RBI in an 11-5 win over the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
Antonacci's first major-league homer was certainly out of the ordinary, as he laced a ball down the third-base line that appeared to touch the ball person, causing Arizona's left fielder to come to a halt. The ball remained in play, and Antonacci circled the bases, crossing home plate easily. This was easily the most productive game of his young career, as Antonacci came into Tuesday slashing .125/.300/.125 with no extra-base hits or RBI over his first five big-league contests.

Francisco Lindor NYM SS
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Launches three-run homer in loss
4h agoLindor went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Twins.
Lindor provided all of the Mets' offense in one swing, crushing a 410-foot three-run homer off Simeon Woods Richardson in the third inning for his second long ball of the season. The shortstop entered Tuesday with just one RBI on the year, making the swing a notable boost to his production so far. Lindor has begun to show more pop at the plate recently, slugging .609 over his last six games after posting just a .250 slugging percentage through his first 17 contests. Despite the recent power uptick, his overall numbers remain modest, as he's now batting .209 with two doubles, four RBI and two stolen bases on the season.

Rangers' Josh Smith: Dropped in order
5h agoSmith batted ninth and went 1-for-2 with a walk, a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Pirates.
Smith has always hit out of the lower half of the order, but Tuesday was the first time at the very end of the order. He's earned that low spot. Smith entered the contest slashing .185/.284/.200 with one extra-base hit and five RBI over 74 plate appearances.

Angel Martinez CLE SS
Guardians' Angel Martinez: Homers in win
6h agoMartinez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Astros.
Martinez lofted a home run in the second inning and later scored as part of the Guardians' six-run eighth inning. His playing time has taken a slight hit since George Valera was activated off the injured list, but Martinez's .275/.324/.788 slash line with three home runs and 10 RBI over 71 plate appearances (22 games) keeps him relevant.

Matt McLain CIN SS
Reds' Matt McLain: Double, stolen base in win
6h agoMcLain went 2-for-6 with an RBI double, stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 12-6 win over the Rays.
After a big spring training, McLain has scuffled at the plate to begin the 2026 campaign. Tuesday marked his first multi-hit game since April 9, and the second baseman is still looking for his first home run. He's hit safely in three straight games now and has doubled in both contests against the Rays to begin the week. McLain is slashing .198/.330/.256 with five doubles, four RBI, 10 runs scored, four stolen bases and a 15:25 BB:K across 103 trips to the plate. He's remained in the two hole in the Cincinnati lineup despite the early-season struggles.

James Wood WAS LF
Nationals' James Wood: Homers, reaches five times Tuesday
5h agoWood went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, four walks and three runs scored in Tuesday's 11-4 win over Atlanta.
Wood led off the first inning with a walk, and Atlanta starter Reynaldo Lopez eventually needed 46 pitches to record his first three outs. Wood then tagged Lopez for a leadoff homer in the second inning. Perhaps most impressively, Wood didn't strike out Tuesday, just the third time he's accomplished that in a game this season, as he entered play with a league-high 36 punch-outs. The 23-year-old is now slashing .242/.390/.558 with eight homers, 18 RBI, 23 runs scored, four stolen bases and a 21:36 BB:K across 118 plate appearances. Wood has drawn multiple walks in six of 24 games and has reached base safely in 20 of 24 contests.

Giants' Jung Hoo Lee: Exits with injury
5h agoLee was removed from Tuesday's game against the Dodgers with an apparent leg injury, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Lee was slow to get up after sliding awkwardly on his left leg while getting thrown out at home plate in the sixth inning, and the Giants made to call to take him out of the game in the eighth. Manager Tony Vitello said after the game that Lee has been a bit banged up recently by a series of hard slides, so he was removed as a precaution, per Pavlovic. If he ends up having to miss a start, Will Brennan and Jerar Encarnacion would be next in line to start in right field.

Reds' Dane Myers: Homers, scores four runs in win

Myers went back-to-back with Ke'Bryan Hayes in the top of the second inning against lefty Steven Matz, as both hitters swatted their first homers of the season. Myers has been seeing regular playing time against left-handed pitching and hit leadoff for the second time this season Tuesday. The 30-year-old is slashing .258/.395/.355 with the one homer, three RBI, seven runs scored, one stolen base and a 6:6 BB:K across 38 plate appearances. Myers has at least one hit in three of his five starts.

Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Delivers game-winning knock
6h agoDeLauter went 1-for-4 with a walk, a triple, three RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-5 win over Houston.
DeLauter's contribution to the come-from-behind victory was a bases-loaded triple during a six-run eighth-inning that gave Cleveland the lead it would not lose. The triple snapped a 0-for-12 slide for the outfielder, who also ended a seven-game run without an RBI. Despite the recent downturn, DeLauter maintains an OPS above .800 thanks to an ability to draw walks (13.1 BB%).

Evan Carter TEX LF
Rangers' Evan Carter: Makes defensive impact Tuesday
6h agoCarter went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI single during Texas' 5-1 win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
Carter put the Rangers on the board in the second inning with an RBI single to right field. However, his biggest impact in Tuesday's game came in the fifth, when he scaled the fence in center field to rob Oneil Cruz of a three-run home run, which would have given the Pirates a 4-2 lead. Carter has logged one RBI in each of his last three games but has struggled at the plate this season, slashing .197/.333/.348 with three steals, two home runs, seven RBI and a 14:18 BB:K in 83 plate appearances.

Ian Happ CHC LF
Cubs' Ian Happ: Tallies first stolen base
6h agoHapp went 1-for-4 with two walks, a stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Phillies.
Happ reached three times in the win and also mustered his first stolen base of the season in his first attempt. The veteran outfielder doesn't run like he used to, as he only had six steals during the 2025 regular season following 13 swipes in 2024 and 14 in 2023. Happ might not possess the same wheels he used to have, but he's still effective at getting on base, and he's delivered at least 20 home runs in each of the last three years as well. The 31-year-old has also played in at least 150 games for four straight seasons.

-
Merrill Kelly ARI SP
Diamondbacks' Merrill Kelly: Shelled by ChiSox on Tuesday
2h agoKelly (1-1) took the loss against the White Sox on Tuesday, allowing eight runs on 10 hits and three walks while striking out five batters over 4.1 innings.
Kelly's outing got off to a disastrous start when he gave up four runs in the first inning. He then allowed three more runs -- on back-to-back-to-back homers -- in the second frame. Kelly did bounce back a bit by yielding just one additional run over the remainder of his time in the game, but the early damage was more than enough to saddle him with his first loss in his second start of the season. Kelly has looked shaky so far with an 8:7 K:BB through 9.2 frames, but that could be a result of shaking off rust after missing the first the early portion of the campaign due to a back injury.

Kris Bubic KC SP
Royals' Kris Bubic: Settles in after early homer
2h agoBubic did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Orioles, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings.
Bubic was tagged early, as all three runs he allowed came on one swing, a second-inning three-run homer by Coby Mayo. He responded well, however, settling in to keep Baltimore off the board over his final four innings before exiting. Tuesday marked the southpaw's third quality start in five outings, though his other starts have been considerably rough. Bubic now owns a 4.08 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 29:13 K:BB across 28.2 innings and is set to face the Athletics in his next start.

Shane Baz BAL SP
Orioles' Shane Baz: Labors through traffic Tuesday
3h agoBaz did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Royals, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 6.1 innings.
Baz worked through constant traffic but held things together until the fifth inning, when back-to-back hits led to a run and a sacrifice fly from Vinnie Pasquantino added another. The right-hander managed to push through 6.1 innings -- his longest outing of the season -- but he has now allowed at least six hits in four of his five starts, and the consistent contact against him proved costly. Baz owns a 5.08 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 23:10 K:BB across 28.1 innings this season and will face a tough test in his next outing against Houston.

Mariners' Luis Castillo: Fans six in no-decision
3h agoCastillo tossed five innings against the Athletics on Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters.
Castillo gave up a run in the first inning and another in the fourth but kept Seattle in the contest throughout his time in the game. The right-hander wasn't very efficient, however, as he needed 95 pitches to complete five frames. That was partly because he had his swing-and-miss stuff working -- Castillo recorded 14 whiffs, and his six punchouts were his second-most through five starts so far this season. The veteran hurler is still looking for his first victory, which he'll try to notch in what's projected to be a matchup versus Minnesota on the road his next time out.

Jesus Luzardo PHI SP
Phillies' Jesus Luzardo: Limits damage against Cubs
3h agoLuzardo did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing one run on five hits and four walks while striking out three over 4.2 innings.
Coming off a rough stretch in which he allowed a combined 13 earned runs over his last two starts, Luzardo showed some improvement Tuesday despite pitching through consistent traffic. He allowed a runner to reach third base in multiple innings, but the only damage came in the fifth after a leadoff walk and single forced him out, with an inherited runner eventually scoring. While the left-hander was able to limit runs, his command remained inconsistent, as he issued a season-high four walks and allowed five hits for the fifth straight start. Luzardo owns a 6.91 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 33:9 K:BB across 27.1 innings but he should receive a chance to improve his numbers with his next scheduled outing set against a weak San Francisco lineup.

Jacob Lopez ATH RP
Athletics' Jacob Lopez: Improves control in victory Tuesday
3h agoLopez (2-1) earned the win over Seattle on Tuesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out one batter over 5.1 innings.
Lopez averaged over four walks across his first four starts of the campaign, so it was a significant improvement for him to issue just two free passes while throwing 52 of 86 pitches for strikes Tuesday. The left-hander recorded only one strikeout, but he mostly kept the Mariners in check, with the only extra-base hit against him being a solo homer by Cal Raleigh in the fifth inning. Lopez still has a poor 5.70 ERA and 1.90 WHIP on the campaign, and he's recorded more walks (19) than punchouts (17). Still, he's managed a 2-1 record and will look to improve upon that in his next outing, which is slated to be a home matchup against Kansas City.

Shota Imanaga CHC RP
Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Continues to dominate Tuesday
4h agoImanaga (2-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Phillies, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out one over seven innings.
Imanaga turned in his third consecutive quality start Tuesday, limiting Philadelphia to just two hits over his first five innings before Kyle Schwarber's solo homer in the sixth accounted for the only damage. The left-hander continues to excel at run prevention, allowing just three runs across his last four starts (24 innings). Through five outings, he owns a 2.17 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 32:6 K:BB. Imanaga will face a much tougher challenge in his next scheduled outing against a loaded Dodgers lineup that leads MLB in most offensive categories, including a .293 team batting average.

Devin Williams NYM RP
Mets' Devin Williams: Implodes during ninth-inning loss
4h agoWilliams (0-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Twins, allowing two runs on one hit and three walks without recording an out.
Williams was unable to retire any of the five batters he faced, quickly loading the bases in a tied ninth inning before a single from Luke Keaschall broke the tie. Matt Wallner followed with a bases-loaded walk to force in another run before Williams was pulled. The outing continues a troubling stretch for the right-hander, who has now allowed seven runs while recording just four outs over his last three appearances. Williams ERA has ballooned to 9.95 through eight outings, and the loss extended the Mets' skid to 12 straight games.

Jeff Hoffman TOR RP
Blue Jays' Jeff Hoffman: Nearly blows game for Toronto
5h agoHoffman hit two batters and allowed one run on two hits while striking out a batter during the Blue Jays' 4-2 win over the Angels on Tuesday.
Hoffman got the call to protect the Blue Jays' 4-1 lead in the ninth. He started the inning strongly by striking out Zach Neto, but Hoffman's night quickly turned for the worse. The latter yielded a single to Mike Trout before hitting the next two batters he faced. Blue Jays manager John Schneider saw enough after Hoffman gave up an RBI single to Yoan Moncada, with Schneider turning to Louis Varland to close things out, who did so successfully with just one pitch that resulted in a double play. Hoffman wasn't credited with the blown save, but the fact he was pulled from a high-leverage situation is not a good sign for his job security as Toronto's closer. He sits at a 7.59 ERA, 2.06 WHIP and 24:6 K:BB across 10.2 innings.

Simeon Woods Richardson MIN RP
Twins' Simeon Woods Richardson: Allows three runs in no-decision
5h agoWoods Richardson did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Mets, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two over five innings.
A single swing accounted for all of the right-hander's damage Tuesday, as a Francisco Lindor three-run homer in the third inning gave New York the initial lead. The outing was a slight step in the right direction for Woods Richardson after he had allowed 16 hits and 12 runs combined over his previous two starts. Even so, his overall numbers remain elevated, as he now owns a 5.96 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and a 13:10 K:BB across 25.2 innings. Woods Richardson will seek to pick up his first win of the season in his next scheduled start against Tampa Bay.

Bryce Harper PHI DH
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Homers during loss
3h agoHarper went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Cubs.
Harper provided a late spark, launching a two-run homer off Riley Martin in the eighth inning for his fifth long ball of the season. He continues to swing a hot bat in April, going 21-for-64 (.328) with five homers during the month. After an ice-cold start to the year, Harper has raised his season line to .274/.365/.536 with five doubles, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored across 96 plate appearances.
-
Byron Buxton MIN DH
Twins' Byron Buxton: Goes deep Tuesday
4h agoBuxton went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Mets
Buxton provided the breakthrough swing in the sixth inning, taking Nolan McLean deep for a two-run homer after the right-hander had held Minnesota hitless through five frames. The blast continues a strong stretch of power, as Buxton has now homered four times over his last seven games while going 10-for-31 (.323) during that span. However, he also struck out three times Tuesday and remains on pace for a fifth straight season with a strikeout rate above 25 percent. Buxton is now slashing .233/.295/.430 with three doubles and 18 runs scored across 95 plate appearances.

Eloy Jimenez TOR DH
Blue Jays' Eloy Jimenez: Drives in two runs Tuesday
4h agoJimenez went 1-for-2 with a walk and two RBI during the Blue Jays' 4-2 win over the Angels on Tuesday.
Jimenez got the Blue Jays on the board with a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning before extending the team's lead to 4-1 with an RBI single in the eighth. He has filled in admirably as the Blue Jays' designated hitter following the placement of both Addison Barger (ankles) and George Springer (toe) on the 10-day injured list. Since being recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on April 12, Jimenez has gone 8-for-21 (.381) with two RBI.

Joc Pederson TEX DH
Rangers' Joc Pederson: Average climbing
5h agoPederson went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-1 win over Pittsburgh.
Pederson, who opened the season hitless over his first 16 at-bats, has seen his average slowly climb since. He's hit safely in 10 of the next 15 games, going 12-for-37 (.324) to raise his season average to .235. Despite the hitting surge, it hasn't improved Pederson's run production. He has just two extra-base hits and three RBI over 21 games.
-
Giancarlo Stanton NYY DH
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Homers, drives in three Tuesday
5h agoStanton went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, three RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Red Sox.
Stanton accounted for most of the offense for the Yankees, swatting a solo homer to lead off the top of the second inning before driving in two more with a double in the sixth. Stanton has now homered in two of his last four games after going 15 games without a long ball. He's slashing .253/.306/418 with three home runs, 13 RBI, seven runs scored, one stolen base and a 6:25 BB:K across 85 plate appearances.

Eloy Jimenez TOR DH
Blue Jays' Eloy Jimenez: Two hits against southpaw Monday
18h agoJimenez went 2-for-3 in Monday's win over the Angels.
Getting the start at DH and batting cleanup against lefty Reid Detmers, Jimenez banged out singles in the first and sixth innings. The 29-year-old is batting .368 (7-for-19) since being added to the Blue Jays' big-league roster, but all seven knocks have been singles and he has only one RBI. With George Springer (toe) and Addison Barger (ankles) both inching closer to returns, Jimenez's time with Toronto might be running out.
