The Avalanche re-signed Siemens for one year Friday, TSN reports.
It takes a special type of player to boast a 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame and still be graceful on his feet, but Siemens is actually known to be a pretty good skater. The shutdown defenseman played for AHL San Antonio last season, having pitched in one goal, six assists, and 90 PIM in 53 games. According to General Fanager, his contract is two-way, with him making $874,125 at the NHL level and $70,000 in the likely event that he's utilized in the minors.
