Diamondbacks catcher Chris Iannetta was hit in the mouth by a fastball on Friday. For those interested, here it is:

Iannetta has a fracture in his nose, a split lip, several damaged teeth and has been placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list. He had a CT scan that came back negative, but the team still decided to put him on the DL, which makes sense especially given that he's a catcher and needs to wear a mask.

On the pitch, Iannetta says his memory is a bit fuzzy.

"I don't remember a lot of it," Iannetta said (via diamondbacks.com). "The first thing I really remember is getting hit in the face."

Take your time on coming back, Chris. That was a rough one to watch, and experiencing it had to be traumatizing.
