Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis will miss more than a month as a result of an ankle injury suffered in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Redskins in Week 2.

Lewis scored a 63-yard touchdown in the game, but suffered a high-ankle sprain later in the game that will keep him out 6-8 weeks, the team announced Monday. The Jaguars have eight weeks until their Week 11 bye, so if he does not return for Week 10 against the Cowboys, the earliest he can be back will be Week 2 in Indianapolis.
