Two quarterbacks buried their teams late and one took the entire game to doom his squad in this week's edition of Weekly Woes.
QB Keith Price, Washington: Price threw an interception to Kalafitoni Pole in overtime, setting up Andrew Furney's game-winner for Washington State in the Apple Cup. That alone should place him on this list. But only hitting 20 of his first 33 passes against the Cougars was also painful. A quarterback as talented as Price should be able to torch the woeful Washington State defense.
QB Sean Mannion, Oregon State: A Beaver quarterback is on this list too often these days. This time, it's well deserved. Mannion threw four interceptions to the Oregon Ducks in a Civil War that was more like a light skirmish. Oregon held the OSU offense to 393 yards, and although the Beavers kept it close for a little more than a half, the Ducks ended up on a 28-7 run to close the game.
QB Max Wittek, USC: The first-time USC starter could not plug it in from one yard out against Notre Dame for a crucial score that could've breathed new life into the Trojans. Not once, not twice, but three times, Wittek was unable to deliver at the goal line late against the Fighting Irish, twice on runs and once on a fourth-down pass that essentially ended the game for USC.
