Jordan Spieth is the current king of Augusta, and it will probably remain that way for a long time. Spieth has finished second twice and has one green jacket in his three trips there. He is widely considered the favorite to win in 2017.
But now he has company.
Following his win at the WGC-Mexico Championship, Dustin Johnson has joined Spieth as a co-favorite to win the Masters this year.
This is where Johnson belongs. He has top-six finishes at Augusta the last two years and top-15 finishes in three of the last four. He once made three eagles in a round on that course. If he plays like he has at the Genesis Open and WGC-Mexico Championship his last two times out, it will take a herculean effort to take him down. I hope they make extra-long green jackets.
Here is a look at the top nine current favorites (everyone with 25-1 odds or better) following the first WGC event of the year. All odds according to Westgate Superbook.
