Hideki Matsuyama's ball traveled everywhere on the 10th hole during Round 2 on Friday at The Northern Trust. Everywhere. Off the tee box, his wayward drive first found the cart path for a few big bounces before ricocheting directly into the shorts, then shirt, of a spectator.

The spectator was taken aback by the turn of events after the ball came blistering off the cart path and settled into his shirt. He spent minutes waiting for Matsuyama to arrive before the 2021 Masters champion dislodged it and took a free drop. Matsuyama then kindly signed the ball and gave it to the fan.

"It went between my legs, hit my knee, and somehow rolled up into my shirt," the man explained on a mic caught by the PGA Tour.

Matsuyama's ball then found the rough, the fairway and finally the green before settling in the cup for a bogey on the par-4 hole. It ended a streak of five consecutive birdies for Matsuyama after turning in a 5-under 31 on the front nine.
