  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Records GWG on power play

Broberg tallied a power-play goal, picked up an assist and unleashed six shots on net in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Winnipeg.

Broberg played the hero in Tuesday's contest, as he was involved in both of the Blues' goals, including the game-winning tally he buried on a power play midway through the second period. Overall, the 25-year-old blueliner is up to two goals, six points, 19 shots on net and nine blocked shots over nine appearances. In the past two games, he's been handed the keys to the first power-pay unit and thrived offensively, tallying three total points. Broberg appears to be on track for a career year, making him an excellent fantasy option to make a move for in leagues where he's available on waivers.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Strong effort in overtime loss

Swayman stopped 22 of 25 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars.

Swayman kept Boston competitive throughout the contest, but Mikko Rantanen's hat trick ultimately ended the Bruins' five-game winning streak. The 27-year-old netminder has been a reliable contributor during Boston's strong start, and Tuesday's .880 save percentage represented a rare dip in his early-season numbers. Despite the defeat, the Bruins have earned points in six consecutive games. Swayman has appeared five times over that stretch, posting a 1.78 GAA and an impressive .936 save percentage on 141 shots faced.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Stellar showing Tuesday

Hofer turned away 32 of 33 shots on goal in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Jets.

Hofer was dominant in Tuesday's outing, as he allowed just one even-strength tally to Cole Perfetti early in the third period. The 26-year-old Hofer has been effective across his first six appearances to start the new season, where he has compiled a 3-2-1 record, a shutout, a 2.20 GAA and a .919 save percentage. With his success in 2025-26 and his hot start to the new season, there's no question that he's poised to be the No. 1 netminder in St. Louis for the foreseeable future. With the Blues' defense helping shore things up behind the blue line as well, Hofer is trending towards becoming a low-end No. 1 goalie option in fantasy if he can sustain his current quality of play.

  • Jets' Stuart Skinner: Falls short in narrow loss

Skinner turned aside 26 of 28 shots on net in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Blues.

Skinner fought hard Tuesday, but ultimately was handed the loss due to Philip Broberg's power-play goal in the third period. Outside of the Blues' tally with a man advantage, Skinner allowed just one goal at even strength early in the contest. Prior to Tuesday's loss, the 27-year-old netminder had posted a streak of five games where he was unbeaten in regulation. Overall, he now holds a 3-1-2 record, a 2.64 GAA and a .910 save percentage across six appearances. In the early stages of the new season, Skinner has looked the part of a solid No. 1 option between the pipes. For as long as Connor Hellebuyck (suspension) holds out while looking to be traded, Skinner is a solid option in most fantasy formats given his personal success and the Jets' seemingly-improved offense from the 2025-26 season.

  • Cole Hutson D | WAS

Capitals' Cole Hutson: Notches power-play goal

Hutson recorded a power-play goal and placed three shots on net in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Kings.

Hutson doubled the Capitals' early lead with his tally at a man advantage late in the first period. With the power-play goal, the 20-year-old blueliner is up to five points, 22 shots on net, two power-play points, six hits and seven blocked shots across nine appearances. He appears to have been given the keys to the Caps' second power-play unit, which should help him stay relevant in fantasy from his third-line pairing at even strength. With nearly one hit and blocked shot per game in addition to his solid offensive contributions to open his first full season, Hutson holds a high ceiling in fantasy moving forward.

  • Ryan Leonard RW | WAS

Capitals' Ryan Leonard: Bags another goal in loss

Leonard tallied a goal, put two shots on net and put out two hits in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Los Angeles.

Leonard opened the scoresheet Tuesday just under halfway into the first period. His hot start to the 2026-27 season continues to turn heads, as he's up to four goals, eight points, 22 shots on net and 16 hits across nine outings. The 21-year-old winger has recorded a point in seven of his nine appearances this season despite bouncing around the team's line chart. If he can maintain even a fraction of his current scoring pace, he'll be on track to smash the 45-point total he posted in his rookie campaign. Leonard is an excellent waiver-wire pickup in leagues that value banger stats in addition to steady offensive production.

  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: All-around performance in win

Laferriere distributed two assists, posted a plus-2 rating, placed three shots on net, recorded two blocked shots, served two PIM and dished out four hits in Tuesday's 5-2 win over Washington.

Laferriere was involved in each of his linemate Adrian Kempe's goals Tuesday by providing a secondary helper. With the pair of assists, the 24-year-old Laferriere is up to six points, 14 shots on goal, 23 hits and eight blocked shots across seven appearances this season. He's currently above his point pace from each of the past three seasons, and if his offensive hot streak continues, he'll have a real shot at contending for the half-century mark for the first time in his four-year NHL career. Given his all-around play style and secure role centering the Kings' top line, Laferriere is currently one of the top waiver-wire pickups in standard leagues, especially ones that value category coverage.

  • Kings' Scott Laughton: Strikes empty-net goal

Laughton recorded an empty-net goal, put three shots on net, served two PIM and dished out four hits in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Capitals.

Laughton delivered the final blow in Tuesday's matchup, tallying an empty-net goal to help the Kings seal their first win of the 2026-27 season. The 32-year-old's twine finder was his first of the season, and he now has two points, 13 shots on net, 20 hits and seven blocked shots across seven appearances. Laughton has posted both of his points over the past three games, which is a sign that he's settling into his bottom-six center role in his first full year with Los Angeles. However, he remains off the fantasy radar outside of deep leagues that value banger stats.

  • Kings' Erik Gustafsson: Buries first goal for LA

Gustafsson scored a goal and placed two shots on net in Tuesday's 5-2 win over Washington.

Gustafsson's tally was a rare one, as he recorded an unassisted, power-play goal by dangling through the Capitals' defense while taking the puck coast-to-coast. The twine finder was his first of the new season, where he currently has two points, six shots on net and three blocked shots across five outings. The 34-year-old defenseman has seen a small chunk of power-play time in each of his five appearances. He might not be a regular in the Kings' lineup, but the club seems to trust him enough on special teams and in the top pairing, which could lead to fantasy success later in the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Adrian Kempe RW | LA

Kings' Adrian Kempe: Nets two goals in win

Kempe notched two goals, compiled a plus-3 rating, launched six shots on net and dished out two hits in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Capitals.

Kempe answered the bell just 52 seconds after Cole Hutson's power-play goal late in the first period for the Kings' opening tally. He later connected with his linemates Artemi Panarin and Alex Laferriere again to secure his first multi-goal game of the new season. Overall, the 30-year-old winger has three goals, six points, 23 shots on net and 16 hits across seven appearances. He's coming off back-to-back seasons with 35-plus goals, meaning Tuesday's performance was a strong sign that he'll challenge that threshold once again in 2026-27. With the Kings' top line heating up, Kempe is a strong fantasy option in all formats given his all-around play.
