I called Marquette over Villanova. I called West Virginia over Kansas. And I told you all, on the last episode of the Eye on College Basketball podcast, that I also thought Kentucky could find itself in serious trouble at Tennessee.

But did Matt Norlander give me credit in his column?

Nope!

So I took issue with that at the top of this episode of the Eye on College Basketball podcast -- then we discussed each of those outcomes in detail and Caleb Swanigan's 17th double-double in Purdue's win at Michigan State that has me believing the sophomore forward could win National Player of the Year.

(Note: I have Swanigan third in the POY race right now.)

Tuesday's developments caused me to move Gonzaga to No. 1 in the CBS Sports Top 25 (and one). Do the Zags deserve it? I obviously think so. Norlander does, too. We explained why and then discussed the just-announced Bracket Preview show that will air on CBS next month. I like the idea. Norlander isn't quite as enthused. We both made our cases and then reacted to news that Brent Musburger is retiring, which led to a conversation about Musburger's role in Rocky II, which led to me explaining my lifelong relationship with the Italian Stallion Rocky Balboa.
