Howden recorded two goals, including one shorthanded, and an assist in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Mammoth in Game 4 of their first-round series.
Howden had gone pointless while posting an even rating in the first three games of the series, but he came out of nowhere to deliver three points while also logging 21:54 TOI -- a playoff-high mark for the 28-year-old. Howden has a bottom-six role in the lineup, so he's not expected to deliver multi-point performances on a regular basis, but he should continue to see scoring opportunities due to his role in the second power-play unit. He had 22 points (12 goals, 10 assists) across 58 regular-season appearances this year.

Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Lights lamp in shootout loss
Howden scored a goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.
Howden has scored three goals and added an assist over four games in April. He's been one of the biggest early beneficiaries of the John Tortorella era in Vegas. Howden has 12 goals, 22 points, 65 shots on net, 97 hits, 39 PIM and a minus-10 rating over 55 appearances this season. He had 23 goals and 40 points in 80 regular-season contests a year ago, so it's not too surprising he's been able to turn up the heat on offense after a slow start to the campaign.

This was Howden's first point in seven games since he returned from a lower-body injury March 8 versus the Oilers.
