    Analysis

After brutal loss last night despite knocking Jacob Misiorowski out of the game before finishing five innings, I'm backing the Dodgers and their biggest-game ace, Yoshinobu Yamamoto. At -135, I'm seeing some value in betting on Yamamoto to have a strong start and the Dodgers offense finding more ways to push runs across. They allowed the Brewers to turn three double plays to end scoring threats, while getting men on base in 8/9 innings. LA got some good looks at the bullpen arms for Milwaukee last night as well and with no rest day, the Dodgers have a slight bullpen edge.

    Analysis

Another gross line to bet but honestly, I would play this up to 20.5 outs if possible. Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been incredible in his last four playoff starts dating back to last year's NLCS. He has thrown at least six innings in each, including two complete games. Last year against Milwaukee in this same series, Yamamoto threw a three-hit complete game, allowing only one run in the 5-1 victory. With the Dodgers in danger of going down 0-2 in this series with a loss, expect last year's World Series MVP to dominate the Milwaukee lineup today and throw at least seven innings in an L.A. win.

    Pitcher to Record a Win
    Picked: Oct 12 @ 2:05pm

    Analysis

DraftKings. At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, Yoshinobu Yamamoto is establishing himself as one of the best postseason pitchers… ever. He’s won seven of his ten starts, including five of his last six (since the beginning of last playoffs). He’s also a road warrior, winning nine of 13 road starts this season while pitching to a 1.73 ERA. The Dodgers have proved their playoff resilience time and time again, and I like them to either break through against Logan Henderson, or chase him early. The Brewers middle relief was used extensively yesterday, which should give LA the advantage in the middle innings.

    Analysis

The defending two-time world champion Dodgers are down 0-1 at Milwaukee in the NLCS. If you like the Brewers today, you'll be traveling to uncharted waters. The Dodgers visited Milwaukee in May and lost the first game but won the second and third games quite easily, and one of those starters was Yoshi Yamamoto, who pitches today. Yamamoto seems to be the most serious among the starters. In his last start, he pitched the pivotal Game 3 in the NLDS against the Braves, winning 3-1, striking out 10 in seven innings. He beat the Brewers in both starts against them this year, allowing only one run in each contest. Yamamoto is on point tonight to even up the series. I'm betting the Dodgers to win.

    Analysis

Everything seems to line up well for the Rays in Game 1. They are the best home team in the majors, well-rested and starting ace Drew Rasmussen. He was truly great in the last round vs. the Yankees, and Tampa Bay has gotten a W the past 13 times he has strolled to the mound. The Guardians only finished their ALDS series Saturday and go with journeyman Foster Griffin in his second career playoff outing and first start. He did have a great season but Tampa Bay is 32-17 vs. southpaws after beating New York's Max Fried in Game 3 of the last round.
