Basil Okoye BAL DT
Ravens' CJ Okoye: Back with Baltimore
9h agoThe Ravens signed Okoye to a one-year, $1 million contract Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Okoye came through the International Player Pathway Program and played 13 regular-season games for Baltimore last season, logging 214 defensive snaps and compiling 15 tackles along with a defensed pass. He'll likely continue to serve in a rotational role along the defensive line in 2026.
-
Jaylon Jones CHI DB
Bears' Jaylon Jones: Returning to Chicago
9h agoJones is signing a one-year contract with the Bears, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Jones entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and has played all four of his pro campaigns with Chicago, though he was briefly on Arizona's roster last offseason. The Ole Miss product has played more snaps on special teams than on defense each of the past three years and figures to continue working as a depth cornerback in 2026.
-
Chris Paul WAS OG
Commanders' Chris Paul: Returning to Washington
10h agoPaul signed a one-year contract with the Commanders on Friday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
Paul was selected by the Commanders in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He started in eight games over the first three years of his NFL career but started at left guard in 15 of 17 regular-season games in 2025. Paul appears likely to retain his starting spot for the 2026 campaign.
-
Mykal Walker NYJ LB
Jets' Mykal Walker: Re-signs with Gang Green
11h agoThe Jets re-signed Walker on Friday, Jack Bell of the team's official site reports.
Walker was cut by the Cardinals at the end of training camp, but he quickly caught on with the Jets on the practice squad in early September before being signed to the active roster in October. He worked in a rotational role on defense while serving on special teams and finished the 2025 regular season with 31 tackles (nine solo) and one pass defense across 14 games. Walker will likely reprise that roles for the Jets in 2026.
-
D'Angelo Ross CLE CB
Browns' D'Angelo Ross: Staying in Cleveland
11h agoRoss signed a contract with the Browns on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ross opened the 2025 season on the Texans' practice squad and appeared in three games before being signed to the Browns' active roster in mid-November. He appeared in seven regular-season games for Cleveland and logged nine tackles (five solo) and two pass defenses while mostly serving on special teams. Ross will likely see most of his playing time on special teams in 2026, but his presence gives the Browns depth in the secondary.
-
Christian Izien TB SAF
Lions' Christian Izien: Inks deal with Detroit
11h agoIzien signed a contract with the Lions on Friday.
The terms of the deal are yet to be announced, but Izien will head to Detroit after calling Tampa Bay his home for the last three seasons. He played a prominent role in the Buccaneers' defense in 2023 and 2024 but saw his snaps on defense dip in 2025, finishing with 25 tackles (16 solo) and one forced fumble across 14 regular-season games. Izien will look to earn an expanded role on defense with the Lions, and he could get some starts early in 2026 season if one or both of Brian Branch (Achilles) and Kerby Joseph (knee) are not available.
-
Blake Treinen LAD RP
Dodgers' Blake Treinen: Unsteady so far this spring
6h agoTreinen pitched a scoreless inning in a Cactus League outing against Seattle on Friday, allowing three walks and striking out one batter.
Treinen entered in the fifth frame and walked the bases full, but he managed to escape the inning without giving up any runs. The veteran reliever hasn't looked sharp this spring -- he's given up four earned runs with a 3:5 K:BB over 4.1 frames -- but he's essentially a lock for Los Angeles' regular-season bullpen. With that said, Treinen had the worst campaign of his career last year (he posted a 5.40 ERA and 1.84 WHIP with a 36:19 K:BB across 26.2 regular-season innings), so the team may be wary about using him in high-leverage situations right away, especially given his results this spring.
-
Grayson Rodriguez LAA SP
Angels' Grayson Rodriguez: Fires 4.2 scoreless spring frames
6h agoRodriguez allowed two hits and walked four batters while striking out five over 4.2 scoreless innings in a Cactus League start against Cleveland on Friday.
Rodriguez was a bit wild in issuing four free passes, but he kept the Guardians out of the score column thanks in part to a pair of double plays. Promisingly, he worked up to 85 pitches, and though his fastball velocity was a bit below its established norm at 94.3 mph, it's worth noting that the right-hander is still working his way back into full form after not pitching in any games beyond spring training last season. Rodriguez hasn't dropped jaws this spring, but he's looked healthy and has posted a tolerable 4.97 ERA with 12 punchouts (albeit alongside 10 walks) over 12.2 frames, so he looks to be headed toward a spot in the Angels' Opening Day rotation.
-
Taylor Rogers MIN RP
Twins' Taylor Rogers: Still in unsettled closer mix
6h agoRogers has a 4.50 ERA this spring with a 6:3 K:BB in four innings. He's still likely in the mix to close games but manager Derek Shelton said he still has no plans for how he'll distribute save opportunities, Matthew Leach of MLB.com reports.
Rogers has the most experience closing games in the bullpen, but his declining velocity to an average fastball of 92.8 mph last season from a peak of 95.8 mph in 2021 may not make him ideal as the primary closer. He'll still had a decent 9.4 K/9 last season so he could be part of a committee. However, at this point it's very unclear how the Twins will divide up the opportunities to finish games among an unsettled bullpen that also includes save candidates Justin Topa, Cole Sands and Liam Hendriks.
-
Michael King SD SP
Padres' Michael King: Struggling this spring
6h agoKing allowed six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five batters over four innings in a Cactus League start against the Athletics on Friday.
King notched a nice strikeout total, but he was also pounded for three homers, which came on back-to-back-to-back A's blasts in the fourth inning. The right-hander began the Cactus League slate with a fine 2.2-inning, one-run outing against the Angels, but since then he's yielded 13 earned runs on 15 hits (including five long balls) over 10 frames spanning three starts. Spring training stats rarely carry much importance, and King is locked into a rotation spot for the Padres, but a bounce-back outing before the end of the exhibition slate could be useful to reset the hurler heading into the regular season.
-
David Bednar NYY RP
Yankees' David Bednar: Comes up big for USA in WBC
6h agoBednar tossed a scoreless inning for Team USA against Team Canada in the quarterfinal of the World Baseball Classic on Friday, allowing two hits and striking out two batters.
Bednar entered in the seventh inning with the US up 5-3. He found himself in a world of trouble by allowing runners on second and third with no outs on a pair of infield singles and a passed ball, but the veteran hurler managed to escape the jam without being scored upon by getting a popout and a pair of punchouts. Bednar, who is locked into the No. 1 closer role for the Yankees, has yet to give up a run in the WBC.
-
Kody Clemens MIN 1B
Twins' Kody Clemens: Not a clear path to regular role
6h agoClemens doesn't appear to have a set regular role in the lineup with the Twins signing Josh Bell and if they keep several left-handed outfielders on the roster, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Clemens began the offseason looking like the team's starter at first base or at least the left-handed part of a platoon at the position. However, the Twins may not want to use Trevor Larnach in the outfield rather than DH against lefties, which would move Bell to first base and Luke Keaschall looks set to play second base. Clemens hit .216/.284/.442 with 19 home runs last season in a breakout season and took significant strides in his batted-ball metrics with a 48.3 percent hard-hit rate and 12 percent barrel rate. His ability to play second base and first base should help find ways to get him into the lineup eventually, but he may find few at-bats early in the season unless the Twins trade a left-handed hitting outfielder.

Bennedict Mathurin LAC SF
Clippers' Bennedict Mathurin: Pours in 26 points Friday
2h agoMathurin recorded 26 points (10-19 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Friday's 119-108 win over the Bulls.
Mathurin scored at least 20 points for the fourth straight game, providing the Clippers with a reliable scoring punch off the bench. In typical fashion, Mathurin's peripheral contributions have left a little to be desired, dragging down his overall fantasy value. If you need points and out-of-position rebounds, make sure Mathurin isn't somehow available in your league.
-
Derrick Jones Jr. LAC SF
Clippers' Derrick Jones: Elite two-way production continues
2h agoJones provided 10 points (4-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals over 34 minutes during Friday's 119-108 victory over the Bulls.
Jones continues to produce on both ends of the floor, scoring double digits for the eighth time in the past nine games. He has also recorded 15 combined steals and blocks in his past three games, flirting with top 20 value during that time. For now, Jones has to be added in all leagues, at least until John Collins (neck) is cleared to return.
-
Nick Richards CHI C
Bulls' Nick Richards: Blocks three shots in spot start
2h agoRichards registered 10 points (3-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 30 minutes during Friday's 119-108 loss to the Clippers.
Richards moved into the starting lineup for the first time since joining the Bulls, filling in for Jalen Smith, who was given the night off as part of his injury-management plan. Richards has now tallied double-digit points in four straight games, averaging 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks during that time.
-
Tre Jones CHI PG
Bulls' Tre Jones: Another 20-point performance
2h agoJones accumulated 21 points (10-11 FG, 1-1 FT), one rebound and two assists in 30 minutes during Friday's 119-108 loss to the Clippers.
Jones amassed at least 20 points for the third time in the past five games, having seen at least 30 minutes in his past four appearances. Although his steal numbers have been largely disappointing, his assists are keeping his overall value afloat, to the point where he should be considered a must-add player across most formats.
-
Leonard Miller CHI SF
Bulls' Leonard Miller: Sizeable role continues
2h agoMiller finished Friday's 119-108 loss to the Clippers with 14 points (6-14 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two steals across 36 minutes.
Miller logged at least 30 minutes for the third straight game, continuing to put himself firmly on the standard league radar. Miller has averaged 15.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals, making him a top 80 player during that span. While there are no guarantees when it comes to playing time in Chicago, Miller is certainly worth taking a short-term flier on, just in case he earns himself a permanent role.
-
Kevin Durant HOU PF
Rockets' Kevin Durant: Drops 32 points in victory
6h agoDurant finished Friday's 107-105 win over the Pelicans with 32 points (13-24 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 40 minutes.
With Alperen Sengun (back) unavailable, Durant was much more aggressive on the offensive end in this one. After scoring 11 points on eight field-goal attempts in Wednesday's blowout loss to Denver, the superstar dropped a team-high 32 points Friday, including a go-ahead mid-range jumper and two clutch free throws down the stretch. He reached the 30-point threshold for the sixth time across 13 outings since the All-Star break. Durant has also tallied five assists in back-to-back games and has reached that mark in three of his last five appearances.
-
Owen Martin WPG C
Jets' Owen Martin: Pots pair for Spokane
6h agoMartin scored twice on five shots in WHL Spokane's 4-0 win over Seattle on Friday.
Martin's surge in February ended when the calendar flipped to March -- he had logged just two points over the previous four games. The Jets prospect has made a decent impression with his recent play, though he's still at a relatively modest 24 goals and 51 points through 61 appearances this season. Spokane is likely to make the WHL playoffs but probably won't go on a run, so the 18-year-old likely has just a few more weeks to add to his numbers.
-
Joshua Ravensbergen SJ G
Sharks' Joshua Ravensbergen: Shutout in close WHL win
6h agoRavensbergen posted a 16-save shutout in WHL Prince George's 1-0 win over Wenatchee on Friday.
Ravensbergen logged the 10th shutout of his WHL career and his fourth this season. He's up to 30-13-0 with a 2.52 GAA and a .918 save percentage through 44 appearances. Ravensbergen is a Michigan State University commit for 2026-27, and it's clear he has little left to prove in the junior hockey ranks.
-
Kasperi Kapanen EDM RW
Oilers' Kasperi Kapanen: Tallies opening goal
6h agoKapanen scored a goal in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Blues.
Kapanen got some revenge against his former team, opening the scoring at 15:41 of the second period. The 29-year-old has two goals and an assist over his last four contests as he continues to provide decent offense in a middle-six role. He's up to seven goals, 15 points, 49 shots on net, 52 hits and a plus-7 rating over 26 appearances this season, which has been interrupted by injuries.
-
Connor McDavid EDM C
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Lights lamp Friday
6h agoMcDavid scored a goal on four shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Blues.
McDavid saw an eight-game, 15-point streak snapped in Dallas on Thursday. He put the Oilers up 2-0 with his tally midway through the third period Friday, but it ultimately wasn't enough. The superstar center is still leading the NHL with 111 points (37 goals, 74 assists) while adding 245 shots on net and a plus-10 rating over 67 outings. McDavid is in position to challenge for 130-plus points given his pace this season.
-
Connor Ingram EDM G
Oilers' Connor Ingram: Slips up late
6h agoIngram allowed three goals on 25 shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Blues.
Ingram wasn't able to maintain a 2-0 lead over the last 10 minutes of regulation. The collapse continued when Robert Thomas scored at 4:51 of overtime to send the Oilers to a defeat. Ingram has allowed 16 goals on 123 shots (.870 save percentage) over his last five appearances. He has a 9-6-2 record with a 2.79 GAA and an .891 save percentage over 20 contests this season. Ingram and Tristan Jarry will continue to battle for playing time, though with no back-to-back sets over the next week, a clear starter could emerge. The Oilers' next game is Sunday at home versus the Predators.
-
Oskar Sundqvist STL C
Blues' Oskar Sundqvist: Pockets helper Friday
6h agoSundqvist produced an assist in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Oilers.
Sundqvist had been a scratch for the previous two games after going without a point over four contests following his return from an upper-body injury. The 31-year-old forward continues to fill a bottom-six role, so his chances on offense are likely to remain limited. Sundqvist is at 15 points, 36 shots on net, 59 hits, 25 blocked shots and a minus-17 rating through 48 appearances.
