Stamkos scored a goal Saturday in a 5-3 win over Montreal. Stamkos scored on a one-timer off a pass from Nikita Kucherov on the power play early in the third period for Stamkos' 30th goal of the season. It's the eighth time in his NHL career that he has hit that plateau. Stamkos has 510 goals and 1,041 points in 990 games in his career.... See More ... See Less

Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Closing in on eighth 30-goal season
Stamkos (lower body) had two goals and an assist in a 4-3 shootout win over the Devils on Thursday. He played 18:02 and had four shots after missing Tuesday's game with a knee injury. Stamkos scored on a snap shot from low in the left circle late in the second period; it pulled the Bolts to within one goal (2-1). He then got his second on a one-timer from the same circle on the power play late in the third to push the Bolts up 3-2. Unfortunately, Tampa couldn't hold the lead and needed a shootout to settle the score. The goals were Stamkos' first in seven games and put him within one goal of 30 on the season. This will be his eighth 30-goal season.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Will return Thursday
Stamkos (lower body) is good to play Thursday versus New Jersey, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports. Stamkos missed Tuesday's 4-1 victory over the Devils. He has 27 goals and 66 points in 67 contests this season. With Stamkos back, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare might be a healthy scratch Thursday after logging 10:47 of ice time Tuesday.... See More ... Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Won't play Tuesday
Stamkos (lower body) won't play Tuesday versus the Devils. Stamkos suffered a lower-body injury Saturday but was able to play through it Sunday. The 33-year-old will now be out for at least one game as he tries to shake it off. It's unclear if he'll be ready to face the Devils in Thursday's rematch.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Expected to play Sunday
Stamkos (lower body) is on the ice for warmups and expected to suit up Sunday against Winnipeg, Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida reports. Stamkos was injured Saturday against Chicago but isn't expected to miss any additional time. The 33-year-old has 66 points in 66 appearances this season but just one in his last four games. He'll be in his usual top-line role Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Exits Saturday's contest
Stamkos (lower body) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Blackhawks, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports. Stamkos appeared to be favoring his left leg after a shift late in the first period, and he won't be able to finish the game. He should be considered questionable at best for Sunday's game versus the Jets.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Steven Stamkos: No points in game after benching
Stamkos had five hits and no shots in 17:25 of ice time in Sunday's 6-0 loss to Carolina. Coach Jon Cooper had benched Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point for the third period of Saturday's loss to Buffalo because they weren't performing well enough to give the team the best chance to win. They were back in action Sunday, but the game was a parade to the penalty box and the Bolts' offense couldn't get rolling. Stamkos and the Bolts are on a five-game losing streak heading into a four-game week, with contests against the Flyers, Knights, Hawks and Jets.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Second multi-point game in last 18
Stamkos scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-4 overtime loss to Pittsburgh on Thursday. He knotted the game 3-3 with a wrist shot from the left circle just 38 seconds into the third period. Stamkos has put up points in two straight games (one goal, two assists) after delivering just four points in his previous 11 games. Stammer is still a solid fantasy producer, but he has only two multi-point games over his last 18 outings (six goals, six assists), and just seven points (three goals, four assists) in his last 13 games. We don't know if he's simply preserving energy for the postseason or if there's an underlying injury that's suppressing his production, or just bad luck. It bears watching, though, especially if you're relying on his offense as you head into the fantasy playoffs.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Burns and gets burned in same game
Stamkos scored a goal and added an assist in a 6-5 overtime loss to Buffalo on Thursday. Stammer opened the scoring early in the first period when he skated in on a rush and shot over Eric Comrie's left shoulder from the right circle. But he was also involved in the overtime winner and not for the good. The Lightning were on the power play when a Sabres' defender pressured Stamkos in the defensive zone, forced a turnover and then ripped it home to seal the win. Stammer has 60 points in 57 games this season but this was his first multi-point effort since Jan. 18. That's a span of 14 games (five goals, four assists). We're not sure if this slow down is nothing or if it's a sign of a tired captain. It bears monitoring as the star closes in on his 1,000th game, which barring injury should come before season's end.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Sends assist in shootout win
Stamkos logged an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Avalanche. Stamkos set up Anthony Cirelli's game-tying goal early in the third period. In addition to the helper, Stamkos also had the lone shootout tally to lift the Lightning to the win. The 33-year-old hadn't gotten on the scoresheet in February after posting seven goals and nine assists over 13 games in January, so it's good to see him snap his slump. Stamkos has 24 goals, 58 points, 182 shots on net, 62 hits, 35 blocked shots, 28 PIM and a plus-8 rating through 53 outings overall.... See More ... See Less -

Ten minutes later, he struck again, and an empty-netter sealed his hat trick. The 32-year-old is third on the active goals list in the NHL, amassing 502 through 965 outings. For the season, he's up to 21 tallies, 52 points, 151 shots on net, 22 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 43 appearances. He's on a six-game point streak consisting of four goals and six assists.... Stamkos picked up two power-play assists in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jackets. The Lightning power play struck three times in total, with Stamkos having a hand in two third-period tallies including Nikita Kucherov's game-winner. Stamkos has more games with multiple points (four) than he does games without a point at all (three) since the beginning of December, and on the season the 32-year-old has compiled 17 goals and 45 points through 39 contests.... Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Consistent excellence
Stamkos delivered a goal and assist on the power play Saturday in a 5-3 win over Arizona. Since Nov. 1, Stamkos has been held pointless just four times in 26 games. His consistency is outstanding and his fantasy contributions are immense. He has 17 goals and 24 assists in 35 games, and he is on pace for 96 points. Stamkos has scored 95 or more points four times in his career and is coming off a career-best 106 last year. With luck, he could deliver his second 100-plus point season.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Two assists in win
Stamkos delivered two assists in a 5-1 win over Montreal on Saturday. Stamkos' point streak ended at 14 games Thursday, but it didn't take him long to get right back on the scoresheet. Stamkos has 16 goals and 36 points in 30 games this season, and he sits firmly in the NHL's top-20 scorers. He remains three goals from the vaunted 500 mark for his career.... See More ... See Less -
