Daniel Jones IND QB
Colts' Daniel Jones: Making progress
2h agoColts coach Shane Steichen noted Tuesday that Jones is already "dropping back" to pass at this stage of his recovery from a torn right Achilles, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Jones suffered his Achilles tear on Dec. 7 last year, so the QB still has a way to go in his recovery, and with that in mind the Colts have not yet put a definitive timeline on when Jones might be fully cleared. That said, Steichen noted that the team's franchise signal caller is having a "phenomenal rehab," adding that he's confident Jones is doing everything he can to be ready sooner rather than later. With Jones on the mend for now, Riley Leonard is in line to handle added first-team reps during OTAs, while Anthony Richardson (eye) -- who has requested a trade -- wasn't present for the start of Indy's current voluntary sessions.

Harold Fannin Jr. CLE TE
Browns' Harold Fannin: Participates in minicamp
3h agoFannin (groin) participated in Tuesday's voluntary veteran minicamp practice, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
Fannin sat out the Browns' 2025 season finale against the Bengals due to a groin injury, but the tight end's participation in Monday's session illustrates that he's moved past the issue. As the coming campaign approaches, Fannin sits firmly atop his team's TE depth chart, which no longer includes David Njoku, who remains a free agent. As a rookie last year, Fannin recorded a team-high 72 catches (on 107 targets) for 731 yards and six TDs in 16 regular-season contests. With Njoku no longer in the mix, Fannin should have an opportunity to improve on those numbers, health-permitting, given that current reserves Jack Stoll, Blake Whiteheart, Brenden Bates and Sal Cannella are not likely to command significant volume in Cleveland's offense.

Benito Jones MIA DT
Benito Jones: Visits with G-Men
6h agoThe Giants hosted Jones (back) for a visit on Tuesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Jones logged four regular-season appearances in 2025 before being placed on IR due to a back injury. Across that span, he tallied 15 total tackles and one pass defensed while handling 260 defensive snaps. The 28-year-old now appears back to full health, and he could be an option to help shore up New York's interior defensive line after the team's decision to trade Dexter Lawrence to Cincinnati.

Tyler Bass BUF K
Bills' Tyler Bass: Promising health outlook
7h agoGeneral manager Brandon Beane said this week that Bass, who missed the entire 2025 campaign due to a pelvic injury that required surgery, is close to full health again. "If he's not 100 (percent), he's right at it," Beane said Monday as reported on the Bills' official site.
Bass has handled the Bills' kicking duties since being drafted in 2020, but the team was forced to go with Matt Prater and Michael Badgley in 2025, while Bass never came close to suiting up due to a sports hernia, ultimately undergoing surgery in November. Neither Prater nor Badgley is with the team any longer, so it looks like the Bills are comfortable with Bass's prognosis to continue counting on him being their main guy throughout Josh Allen's prime seasons. Bass could be a good target in drafts due to the fact that he has no stats to show off from last season, plus the Bills have a new head coach with an offensive mind in Joe Brady. And there's the fact that Allen advances the football with the best of them.

Kayshon Boutte NE WR
Patriots' Kayshon Boutte: Not at voluntary workouts
10h agoPatriots head coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday that Boutte is not in attendance for the team's voluntary offseason workout program, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
Boutte has been linked to trade rumors due to the steady drumbeat of New England's interest in potentially acquiring A.J. Brown after June 1, as Adam Schefter of ESPN reports, as well as the team's decision to ink Romeo Doubs to a substantial four-year contract on the outset of free agency. A 2023 sixth-round pick, Boutte has now compiled back-to-back seasons with over 500 receiving yards, and he posted an impressive average catch distance of 16.7 yards (fifth in the NFL) in 2025.

Will Grier DAL QB
Panthers' Will Grier: Finds gig with Panthers
10h agoGrier is signing with Carolina on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Grier will sign on as the Panthers' third-string QB, behind Bryce Young and Kenny Pickett, providing the team with positional depth in advance of the 2026 NFL Draft. A 2019 third-round pick, Grier hasn't logged any regular-season action since he made two appearances as a rookie with Carolina.

Kevin McGonigle DET SS
Tigers' Kevin McGonigle: Keeps on rolling Tuesday
13m agoMcGonigle went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 12-4 loss to the Brewers.
Despite the lopsided loss, McGonigle continued to be a bright spot for the Tigers. The rookie infielder is now riding a six-game hitting streak, with the last three games all going down as multi-hit efforts. Overall, McGonigle is batting a robust .322 with a .904 OPS, and the prospect hype surrounding the 21-year-old has quickly translated into elite fantasy performance.
-
Riley Greene DET CF
Tigers' Riley Greene: Reaches twice in rout
17m agoGreene went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's 12-4 loss to the Brewers.
Detroit didn't have much go right Tuesday, but Greene at least managed to continue his strong recent play. Over his last 10 games, the talented outfielder is batting .379 with a home run, eight RBI and eight runs scored, and he has at least one hit in six of those contests. After a bit of a slow start to the season, it seems like Greene is heating up, and his counting stats should begin trending upward as well if he can continue to make consistent contact at the plate.

Enmanuel De Jesus DET RP
Tigers' Enmanuel De Jesus: Hit hard Tuesday
19m agoDe Jesus allowed seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks across 1.1 innings of relief in Tuesday's 12-4 loss to the Brewers.
De Jesus came on after 5.2 innings from starter Keider Montero and with Detroit trailing 3-1. The lefty reliever quickly let things unravel as he saw his ERA nearly double from 5.40 to an unsightly 10.13, and it would have been worse if not for the unearned runs. De Jesus has nine strikeouts across eight innings this year, which is encouraging, but he's otherwise been ineffective, and he doesn't currently have a ton of fantasy value in his role out of the Tigers' bullpen.

Porter Hodge CHC SP
Cubs' Porter Hodge: Opts for internal brace surgery
1h agoCubs manager Craig Counsell confirmed Tuesday that Hodge (elbow) underwent UCL reconstruction surgery with an internal brace, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports.
Though Hodge didn't require a traditional Tommy John surgery to address the right elbow flexor strain he sustained in spring training, Counsell estimated that the 25-year-old will face an expected recovery timeline of 12-to-14 months. With that in mind, Hodge would seem likely to open the 2027 season on the Cubs' injured list, if Chicago elects to tender him a contract over the winter. Hodge showed plenty of promise in his 2024 rookie campaign with a 1.88 ERA and 0.88 WHIP in 43 innings, but he fell off badly in 2025 (6.27 ERA, 1.58 WHIP in 33 frames) and finished the season in the minors before going down with the elbow injury in the spring.
-
Wyatt Langford TEX OF
Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Removed with forearm injury
1h agoLangford was removed from Tuesday's game against the Pirates with right forearm tightness, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Langford went 0-for-1 with a walk before his forearm forced him out of the game in the fifth inning. The severity of his injury remains unknown, but the Rangers will likely provide more details once they get a closer look at the young outfielder. Ezequiel Duran is the top candidate for starts in left field if Langford has to miss time.
-
Dustin Harris HOU 1B
Astros' Dustin Harris: Pulled with bruised hand
1h agoHarris was removed from Tuesday's game against the Guardians with a left hand contusion, Julia Morales of Space City Home Network reports.
Harris took a 93.6-mph sinker off his hand in the fifth inning of Tuesday's contest. He remained in the game to run for himself but was removed from the game when Houston went on defense. His diagnosis suggests he avoided a significant injury, though the Astros may look to keep him on the bench for a day or two as a precaution.

Harrison Barnes SA PF
Spurs' Harrison Barnes: Exits to locker room
5m agoBarnes exited to the locker room in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's Game 2 against the Trail Blazers due to an apparent left wrist injury, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
Deni Avdija ran into Barnes' wrist, and the latter immediately grabbed at it before exiting to the locker room. If the veteran forward is unable to return, Keldon Johnson and Julian Champagnie will likely pick up the slack.
-
Jaylen Brown BOS SF
Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Drops 36 points in defeat
28m agoBrown contributed 36 points (11-24 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 9-12 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block across 38 minutes in Tuesday's 111-97 loss to the 76ers in the first round of the playoffs.
Brown erupted for a game-high 36 points and made an impact across the stat sheet in Game 2, albeit in a losing effort. The star forward also turned in another efficient outing from beyond the arc and is shooting 7-for-14 from downtown through the first two games of this series. Brown and the Celtics will now look to retake the series lead in Friday's Game 3 in Philadelphia.
-
VJ Edgecombe PHI SG
76ers' VJ Edgecombe: Double-doubles in win
35m agoEdgecombe supplied 30 points (12-20 FG, 6-10 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals across 35 minutes in Tuesday's 111-97 win over the Celtics in Game 2 of the first round of the playoffs.
Edgecombe exited to the locker room twice after taking a hard fall in the first quarter, but it didn't appear to impact his performance. The rookie became the youngest player to record at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in a playoff game, leading Philadelphia in both categories. He also tied the game high in steals, marking his second consecutive contest with multiple swipes.
-
Reed Sheppard HOU SG
Rockets' Reed Sheppard: Not starting Tuesday
1h agoSheppard won't start Tuesday's Game 2 against the Lakers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
With Kevin Durant (knee) back in the lineup, Sheppard will slide to the second unit. Over 61 regular-season appearances off the bench, he averaged 12.9 points, 2.9 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 24.8 minutes per contest.
-
Kevin Durant HOU PF
Rockets' Kevin Durant: Will play in Game 2
1h agoDurant (knee) will play in Game 2 against the Lakers on Tuesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Durant was held out of Saturday's Game 1 loss due to a right knee contusion, though he'll shed his questionable tag and return to action Tuesday. Per Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com, the superstar forward will not be on a minutes restriction. With Durant back in the starting five, Reed Sheppard will slide to the second unit.
-
Victor Wembanyama SA C
Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Won't return Tuesday
1h agoWembanyama is in the league's concussion protocol and won't return to Tuesday's Game 2 against the Trail Blazers, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports. He'll finish with five points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block in 12 minutes.
Wembanyama fell face-first onto the court early in the second quarter and stayed down for an extended period before running to the locker room. The star big man's next chance to play will come in Game 3 on Friday in Portland. Luke Kornet will likely see increased playing time for as long as Wembanyama is out.

Clay Stevenson WAS G
Capitals' Clay Stevenson: Posts shutout in AHL playoff opener
6m agoStevenson recorded an 18-save shutout in AHL Hershey's 2-0 win over Bridgeport on Tuesday.
Stevenson didn't have a shutout in 37 regular-season appearances, but he was clutch when Hershey needed him the most. He went 18-13-3 with a 2.62 GAA and a .912 save percentage for the Bears this year. This was his first AHL postseason shutout in four outings.
-
Jakub Dobes MON G
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Between pipes Tuesday
4h agoDobes will defend the road net in Game 2 against Tampa Bay on Tuesday, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.
Dobes is coming off a 20-save performance in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning in Game 1. He posted a 2-1-0 record against Tampa Bay during the 2025-26 regular season while stopping 64 of 69 shots.
-
Andrei Vasilevskiy TB G
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Set to start in Game 2
4h agoVasilevskiy will guard the home goal versus the Canadiens in Game 2 on Tuesday, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.
Vasilevskiy stopped 15 of 19 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Canadiens in Game 1 on Sunday. That wasn't his best work -- he had gone eight games without allowing more than three goals to close out the regular season. This series figures to continue to be a close one, but Vasilevskiy should maintain the lion's share of the workload between the pipes for the Lightning.
-
Brady Martin NSH C
Predators' Brady Martin: Assigned to AHL
5h agoMartin was assigned to AHL Milwaukee on Tuesday.
Martin had eight goals and 24 points across 24 regular-season games for OHL Soo in 2025-26. He also added three goals and seven assists in 10 OHL playoff outings. After cracking Nashville's roster out of training camp, he earned one assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in his first three NHL appearances.
-
Jesper Wallstedt MIN G
Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Tending twine in Game 3
6h agoWallstedt will patrol the home crease in Wednesday' game against the Stars, per Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Wallstedt will look to bounce back in Game 3 after surrendering three goals in Minnesota's 4-2 loss in Game 2 on Monday. The 23-year-old netminder has been playing elite hockey overall, as Monday's performance was the most goals he's allowed in a game since March 15 -- the goalie surrendered two or fewer goals in each of his eight appearances from March 17-April 18. Wallstedt has appeared in three consecutive games dating back to the regular season and, based on his recent performances, should deliver another competitive showing in Game 3.

Roope Hintz DAL LW
Stars' Roope Hintz: Doubtful for Game 4
8h agoHintz (lower body) is doubtful for Game 4 against Minnesota on Saturday, Sam Nestler of DLLS Sports reports.
While there's a chance that Hintz will join the team ahead of Saturday's matchup, he won't accompany his teammates to Minnesota for Game 3 on Wednesday. He has been out since getting injured against Colorado on March 6. According to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News, the Stars hope Hintz will be an option for Game 5 against the Wild next Tuesday.
