Matt Brash SEA RP
Mariners' Matt Brash: Blows save opportunity
15m agoBrash blew the save Sunday against the Angels, allowing one unearned run while striking out one in one inning.
After entering the 10th inning with a one run lead, Brash was charged with a blown save in his first opportunity of the season, as the Angels capitalized on the extra-innings placed runner. Following a successful bunt that moved the runner over, Logan O'Hoppe lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home the tying run. While the 27-year-old has yet to allow an earned run this season and has recorded four strikeouts across his first four appearances, this marked Brash's first slip in a high-leverage spot.

George Klassen LAA SP
Angels' George Klassen: Shows flashes in MLB debut
33m agoKlassen didn't factor into the decision, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks while striking out four over 2.2 innings Sunday against the Mariners.
Making the start on short notice, Klassen's debut was a mixed bag, flashing electric stuff but struggling with command and exiting early. The 24-year-old picked up his first career strikeout in a big spot, fanning Julio Rodriguez with a runner on third to escape the first inning. However, Seattle's patience forced him into a long second inning, where he allowed a two-run single before limiting further damage with another punchout. The right-hander's outing ended in the third after a bunt single and wild pitch put another runner in scoring position. Klassen's fastball (97-98 mph) and hard slider (92 mph) highlight his upside, but sharper control will be necessary to stick in a starting role anytime soon.
-
Bryan Baker TB RP
Rays' Bryan Baker: Grabs first win Sunday
39m agoBaker (1-0) was credited with the win Sunday against the Twins, striking out two in a clean ninth inning.
The Rays have a pretty wide open closer competition during the early going of the season. Griffin Jax has an 11.25 ERA through his first four innings, while both Garrett Cleavinger (calf) and Edwin Uceta (shoulder) are on the injured list. That said, the door is open for Baker, who has tossed three scoreless innings with a 4:0 K:BB thus far, to at least claim more high-leverage work.
-
Matt Chapman SF 3B
Giants' Matt Chapman: Reaches base three times in loss
40m agoChapman went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, one run scored and a walk in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Mets.
Chapman doubled home Patrick Bailey in the sixth inning to tie the game 1-1 and scored one batter later on a Rafael Devers single. Chapman then singled in the ninth but was thrown out trying to steal second base. The veteran third baseman is slashing .237/.310/.368 with one home run, four RBI, five runs scored and a 4:7 BB:K across 42 trips to the plate.
-
Logan Webb SF SP
Giants' Logan Webb: Strong across seven innings Sunday
45m agoWebb (1-1) didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Mets, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk with three strikeouts across seven innings.
Webb's only blemish was an RBI single allowed to Mark Vientos in the second inning. Webb scattered the seven hits but had a 2-1 lead when he left the game following the seventh inning. Keaton Winn and Erik Miller combined to allow four runs on five hits in the eighth inning to blow Webb's potential win. Webb will take his fourth turn through the rotation Saturday on the road against the Orioles. He has a 5.00 ERA and 15:6 K:BB across 18 innings.
-
Cade Smith CLE P
Guardians' Cade Smith: Hangs on for third save
1h agoSmith earned the save during Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Cubs, allowing one run on one hit and two walks in the ninth inning. He struck out two.
Smith had the Cubs down to their final out before things got a bit messy. The right-hander then lent back-to-back free passes before Ian Happ plated a run on a single, but Smith got Carson Kelly to strike out to hold on for his third save. Smith has now gone 3-for-4 on save chances to go with a rough 7.50 ERA and 1.67 WHIP across his first six innings, but there's no indication at the moment that the Guardians are going to turn away from him as their primary closer.
-
Tyler Soderstrom ATH C
Athletics' Tyler Soderstrom: Drives in three, scores three runs
3h agoSoderstrom went 1-for-4 with a three-run triple, three runs scored and two walks in Sunday's 12-10 win over the Astros.
With the bases loaded in the fifth inning, Soderstrom cleared them with a three-run triple. It was just the second triple of his career. He scored on a Brent Rooker sacrifice fly one batter later. Soderstrom then walked and scored in the seventh and 10th innings. The left fielder is slashing .212/.316/.333 with three extra-base hits, six RBI, five runs scored and a 5:11 BB:K across 38 plate appearances to begin the season but is still looking for his first home run.
-
Dalton Rushing LAD C
Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Homers Sunday
4h agoRushing went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Nationals.
Rushing got the Dodgers' comeback started in the sixth inning with a two-out, two-strike homer off lefty PJ Poulin, cutting the deficit to 6-3. The 25-year-old catcher hasn't seen a lot of playing time behind Will Smith early this year (Sunday's start was just his second of the season). Rushing has gone 2-for-5 to open the campaign after slashing .204/.258/.324 with four homers across 155 plate appearances as a rookie in the 2025 regular season.
-
Gabriel Moreno ARI C
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Taking seat Sunday
8h agoMoreno is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Moreno will sit Sunday after a run of six straight starts, during which he went 5-for-21 with two walks, two doubles, two RBI and three runs. James McCann is doing the catching for Brandon Pfaadt in the series finale.
-
Will Smith LAD C
Dodgers' Will Smith: Getting breather Sunday
10h agoSmith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
Smith started the previous four games behind the plate and will receive Sunday off after going 5-for-17 with a walk and two runs during that stretch. Dalton Rushing will handle the catching for righty Roki Sasaki in the series finale.
-
Danny Jansen TEX C
Rangers' Danny Jansen: Opening on bench Sunday
11h agoJansen isn't in the Rangers' starting lineup Sunday versus the Reds.
Jansen started behind the plate each of Texas' past four games, and he'll get a well-deserved rest Sunday. The veteran catcher has performed well to begin the season, slashing .250/.250/.458 with a home run and six RBI through 24 plate appearances. Kyle Higashioka is behind the dish for the Rangers in Sunday's series finale.
-
Moises Ballesteros CHC C
Cubs' Moises Ballesteros: Playing time trending down
12h agoBallesteros is out of the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Guardians.
It's the third straight game on the bench for Ballesteros after he started the first five games of the season. The previous two absences came against a lefty starter, but right-hander Slade Cecconi is taking the ball for Cleveland in Sunday's opener. Alex Bregman is resting his legs as the designated hitter while Matt Shaw handles the hot corner.
-
Jared Young NYM 1B
Mets' Jared Young: Three hits in win Sunday
1h agoYoung went 3-for-3 with a double in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Giants.
It was Young's fourth start of the season, and he figures to get regular at-bats against right-handed pitching while Juan Soto (calf) is sidelined. Soto remains day-to-day but missed the final two games of the series against the Giants. Young is slashing .385/.467/.538 with a pair of doubles, one RBI, two runs scored and a 2:2 BB:K across 15 plate appearances this season.
-
Christian Walker HOU 1B
Astros' Christian Walker: Hits another homer Sunday
1h agoWalker went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 12-10 loss to the Athletics.
Walker hit a two-run homer off J.T. Ginn in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game 5-5. It was Walker's second home run in as many days and second of the season. He's now slashing .324/.405/.649 with eight extra-base hits, 11 RBI, seven runs scored and a 5:7 BB:K across 40 plate appearances to begin the season.
-
Nick Kurtz ATH 1B
Athletics' Nick Kurtz: Reaches base five times, swipes bag
2h agoKurtz went 2-for-3 with a double, three walks, one run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 12-10 win over the Astros.
Kurtz entered play Sunday in a 2-for-24 slump with a 6:13 BB:K to begin the season. Kurtz walked in the first, singled and stole his second base in the third, walked and scored in the fifth, hit a ground-rule double in the sixth for his first extra-base hit of the season and walked again in the seventh. Perhaps it will help propel Kurtz into a hot streak at the plate. He's now slashing .148/.361/.185 across 36 plate appearances but is still looking for his first home run and RBI of the season.
-
Ben Rice NYY 1B
Yankees' Ben Rice: Launches third homer
3h agoRice went 1-for-2 with a three-run homer, three walks and an additional run scored in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Marlins.
Rice put the Yankees ahead early with a 410-foot blast off Pete Fairbanks in the first inning. The first baseman has been on a tear to open the year, logging at least one hit in seven of his first eight games. Overall, Rice is 10-for-27 with seven extra-base hits (including three homers), 11 RBI and a 1.380 OPS through his first 36 plate appearances.
-
Spencer Horwitz PIT 1B
Pirates' Spencer Horwitz: On base three times
3h agoHorwitz went 1-for-2 with a single, two walks and a run scored Sunday against the Orioles.
Horwitz started his fourth straight game at first base, and he's reached base in each of those contests. He's been particularly patient, with his two free passes Sunday bringing his walk rate to 14.3 percent. Despite the value he has brought to Pittsburgh's lineup, he has only two runs and two RBI with only a .174 batting average across 28 plate appearances.
-
Carlos Santana ARI 1B
Diamondbacks' Carlos Santana: Set for MRI
4h agoSantana (groin) will remain in Arizona and undergo an MRI on Monday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Santana was forced to leave Sunday's extra-inning win over Atlanta in the bottom of second inning after pulling up lame with a right groin injury while legging out a single. The first baseman will now stick around Arizona for an extra day to undergo additional imaging while the rest of the squad travels to New York ahead of the team's three-game set against the Mets beginning Tuesday. Ildemaro Vargas replaced Santana at first base Sunday, and he could be the next man up if Santana is forced to miss any action moving forward.
-
Jose Altuve HOU 2B
Astros' Jose Altuve: Reaches base four times Sunday
2h agoAltuve went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, two walks and two runs scored in Sunday's 12-10 loss to the Athletics.
With lefty Jacob Lopez starting for the Athletics, Altuve hit leadoff and singled and scored in the fifth and doubled home a run in the eighth before scoring the tying run four batters later. He sandwiched two walks around his hits and reached base four times to push his slash line to an impressive .344/.523/.594 with two home runs, five RBI, 10 runs scored, one stolen base and a 12:7 BB:K across his first 44 plate appearances of the season.
-
Lenyn Sosa CHW 2B
White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: First RBI of 2026
3h agoSosa went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI on Sunday against the Blue Jays.
Sosa was in the lineup for just the third time this season, though he started at DH for the second consecutive game. He delivered a double in the third inning to tally his first RBI of the season to give the White Sox a 2-0 lead. Sosa has only two hits across 17 plate appearances, though he's also struck out only four times.
-
Luis Garcia WAS 2B
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Hits first homer
4h agoGarcia went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Dodgers.
Garcia put the Nationals ahead early, launching a two-out homer off Roki Sasaki in the third inning, giving Washington a 2-1 lead. The home run is Garcia's first of the season, though he's been swinging the bat well, going 11-for-34 with five extra-base hits and six RBI in his first nine games this season.
-
Luisangel Acuna CHW 2B
White Sox's Luisangel Acuna: Swipes fourth bag Sunday
4h agoAcuna went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Blue Jays.
Acuna singled in each of his first two plate appearances, stealing a base in the second inning and scoring a run in the fourth. The 24-year-old has now hit safely in five straight games, going 4-for-4 on stolen-base attempts during that stretch. Overall, he's 7-for-26 with four runs scored to open the season, though all of his hits have been singles.
-
Daniel Schneemann CLE 2B
Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Out of lineup for Game 2
8h agoSchneemann is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Cubs.
Schneeman went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts during Game 1, dropping his slash line for the season to .192/.192/.346 through eight contests. Steven Kwan is handling center field in the nightcap while Angel Martinez starts in left.
-
Brendan Donovan SEA 2B
Mariners' Brendan Donovan: Not starting Sunday
9h agoDonovan (groin) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
The 28-year-old departed Friday's contest due to a groin issue and will be held out of the lineup Sunday for a second straight game. Donovan had medical imaging come back clean, so he could rejoin the starting nine within the next couple days. Leo Rivas is receiving another start at third base Sunday for Seattle.
-
Matt Chapman SF 3B
-
Cam Smith HOU 3B
Astros' Cam Smith: Drives in three, steals base Sunday
2h agoSmith went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 12-10 loss to the Athletics.
Smith walked and stole his third base of the season in the fourth inning, drove in a run with a single in the fifth and singled home a pair in the eighth to tie the game 9-9. After a slow start to the season, Smith has a six-game hitting streak and is 8-for-20 with two home runs, five RBI and four runs scored during that time. Smith is now slashing .273/.400/485 across 40 plate appearances.
-
Junior Caminero TB 3B
Rays' Junior Caminero: Launches first homer in win
2h agoCaminero went 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk and two RBI in Sunday's 4-1 extra-inning win over the Twins.
Caminero tied the game with a solo blast in the fourth inning before adding a bases-loaded walk in the 10th. While the homer was his first of the season, the 22-year-old has hit safely in seven of nine games in the early going. Overall, he's slashing .257/.381/.371 with two extra-base hits, two RBI, four runs scored and a 7:6 BB:K across 42 plate appearances.
-
TJ Rumfield COL 3B
Rockies' TJ Rumfield: Homers in win Sunday
3h agoRumfield went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.
After Mickey Moniak took Taijuan Walker deep for a solo shot in the bottom of the first inning, Hunter Goodman singled before Rumfield swatted a two-run shot to give Colorado an early 3-0 lead. Rumfield has fared well at the plate in his first nine career big-league games to begin the 2026 season, slashing .345/.406/.586 with two home runs, five RBI, four runs scored and a 3:7 BB:K across 32 plate appearances.
-
Maikel Garcia KC 3B
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Powers offense in loss
5h agoGarcia went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and an additional RBI in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Brewers.
After going 0-for-4 in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheder versus Milwaukee, Garcia got on track with three hits in the nightcap before delivering another multi-hit game Sunday. He launched his first home run of the season during the third inning to put Kansas City on the board. In addition to Sunday's long ball, Garcia has been productive as the Royals' leadoff man so far this season with two doubles, a .333/.425/.485 slash line and 6:5 BB:K in 40 plate appearances.
-
Manny Machado SD 3B
Padres' Manny Machado: Smacks first homer
6h agoMachado went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Red Sox.
Machado gave San Diego its first lead of the day in the fifth inning with his two-out blast off Greg Weissert that put the Padres ahead 6-4. It's the first homer and RBI of the season for Machado, who'd gone just 2-for-17 in six games prior to Sunday. The third baseman is now slashing .222/.417/.407 through nine games this year.
-
Carlos Correa HOU SS
Astros' Carlos Correa: Reaches three times, steals base
2h agoCorrea went 2-for-5 with an RBI, two runs scored, a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 12-10 loss to the Athletics.
Correa struck out in each of his first two plate appearances but walked and stole a base before scoring on a Cam Smith single in the fifth. He singled and scored in the seventh and singled home a run in the top of the 10th inning to give Houston a 10-9 lead. Through 10 games this season, Correa is slashing .263/.349/.368 with one home run, eight RBI, eight runs scored, one stolen base and a 5:6 BB:K across 43 trips to the plate.
-
Gabriel Arias CLE SS
Guardians' Gabriel Arias: Delivers two runs
3h agoArias went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Cubs in the second game of a doubleheader. He went 0-for-3 in the matinee.
Arias had RBI knocks in the sixth and eighth innings to help Cleveland gain a split of the doubleheader. His bat has come alive of late. After recording one hit over his first 18 at-bats, the shortstop is 4-for-12 with a walk, two home runs and four RBI over the last four games.
-
Oneil Cruz PIT SS
Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Tallies fourth homer
3h agoCruz went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, three RBI and two runs scored Sunday against the Orioles.
Cruz delivered his third three-RBI performance in his last five games. He kicked off the effort with an infield single in the second inning before popping a two-run home run four frames later. More impressive was that this was Cruz's third long ball and sixth hit against a lefty this season, which comes directly after logging only 11 knocks across 125 plate appearances against southpaws in 2025.
-
Josh H. Smith TEX SS
Rangers' Josh Smith: Pinch hit for in loss
4h agoSmith went 0-for-2 with a walk and was lifted for a pinch hitter against a left-hander in the ninth inning of Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Reds.
The left-handed batting Smith has hit the skids to open the season and is hitless over his last 11 at-bats. His career OPS of .626 against southpaws leaves him vulnerable to a potential platoon at second base. The strong side of a platoon is better then nothing, but Smith's .115 average will have an impact on a fantasy lineup.
-
Dansby Swanson CHC SS
Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Launches first home run
4h agoSwanson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-5 loss to the Guardians in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader.
It's been a rough start to the year for Swanson, who snapped an 0-for-10 slump across his previous three appearances with the long ball Sunday, which was his first of the season. Overall, he's batting just .138 with a .498 OPS through eight games. The veteran shortstop has gotten off to slow starts in the past, and the Cubs should give him a pretty long leash despite his struggles so far due to his proven track record.
-
Matt Shaw CHC SS
Cubs' Matt Shaw: Connects for first home run
4h agoShaw went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in a 6-5 loss to the Guardians in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader.
Shaw continues to see ample playing time in right field with Seiya Suzuki (knee) still on the inured list. The 24-year-old hasn't done a ton offensively with a .217 batting average and .588 OPS across seven games, and his home run Sunday was his first of the year. Shaw should continue to see the field most days, but Suzuki is working through a rehab assignment and should be back soon, which would likely push the former into more of a super utility role.
-
Luis Robert NYM CF
Mets' Luis Robert: Steals two bases, scores two runs
1h agoRobert went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs scored in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Giants.
Robert singled three times and stole his first two bases of the season Sunday, as helped create multiple runs for the Mets. Robert has just one extra-base hit in nine games with his new team but is slashing .333/.474/.433 with one home run, six RBI, six runs scored, two steals and an 8:5 BB:K across 38 plate appearances.
-
Jake Meyers HOU CF
Astros' Jake Meyers: Swats first home run of season
1h agoMeyers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 12-10 loss to the Athletics.
Meyers led off the eighth inning with a homer, his first of the season. The center fielder came into the game hitting .192 with one extra-base hit. He's now slashing .233/.333/.367 with the one home run, four RBI, five runs scored, one stolen base and a 4:7 BB:K across 36 plate appearances.
-
Richard Palacios TB LF
Rays' Richie Palacios: Sparks offense in win
2h agoPalacios went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two RBI, and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 extra-inning win over the Twins.
Palacios came through in the 10th inning, hitting what proved to be the game-winning home run off Justin Topa. After opening the season 0-for-8, he went 3-for-5 over two games this weekend while swiping a bag in each contest. The 22-year-old is slashing .231/.444/.462 across 18 plate appearances so far as a part-time player who will see most of his at-bats against right-handed pitching.
-
Carlos Cortes ATH LF
Athletics' Carlos Cortes: Drives in two runs Sunday
3h agoCortes went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, one run scored and a walk in Sunday's 12-10 win over the Astros.
Cortes made his third start of the young season Sunday and had a pair of RBI hits in the AL West slugfest. Denzel Clarke later pinch-ran for Cortes in the seventh inning, and Cortes has yet to finish a game he's started this season. Through 10 plate appearances, Cortes is 4-for-8 with two doubles and a pair of RBI.
-
Adolis Garcia PHI RF
Phillies' Adolis Garcia: Slugs second home run in loss
3h agoGarcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Rockies.
Garcia accounted for the Phillies' lone run and was the only member of the starting lineup to reach base multiple times Sunday. Garcia's home run in the second inning was his second as a member of the Phillies, and the veteran outfielder is slashing .294/.306/.529 with the two homers, four RBI, three runs scored and a 1:9 BB:K across 36 plate appearances.
-
Mickey Moniak COL CF
Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Goes deep twice in win Sunday
3h agoMoniak went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.
Both home runs came off Taijuan Walker, who allowed three round-trippers in the loss. Moniak was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday after missing Colorado's first six games of the season. He's now got his first two homers of the 2026 campaign and went 3-for-9 with three runs scored in the three-game set against the Phillies. Moniak is unlikely to play against many left-handed starters, but he had an .857 OPS against right-handed pitching last season.

-
Logan Webb SF SP
-
Luis Castillo SEA SP
Mariners' Luis Castillo: Struggles in no-decision
1h agoCastillo did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Angels, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out four over 3.2 innings.
Castillo couldn't find a rhythm in this one, allowing at least two baserunners in every inning he worked and exiting before completing four frames for the first time since 2024. The right-hander ran into trouble immediately, allowing a leadoff double to Zach Neto before Jorge Soler brought him home with an RBI single, and the outing didn't improve much from there. Unlike his dominant Opening Day outing in which he tossed six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, Castillo failed to fool hitters Sunday and was consistently pitching under pressure. The 33-year-old will look to bounce back in his next scheduled start against Houston, though it presents a tough test against one of the league's most productive offenses early in 2026.
-
Kodai Senga NYM SP
Mets' Kodai Senga: Strikes out seven more Sunday
1h agoSenga (0-1) didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Giants, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts across 5.2 innings.
Senga was flawless through five innings, allowing two hits and two walks, and held a 1-0 lead going into the bottom of the sixth. The wheels then fell off a bit for the right-hander, as he surrendered two runs on three hits before being pulled in favor of Huascar Brazoban. Senga's stuff again looked good Sunday, and he now owns a 3.09 ERA and 16:5 K:BB across 11.2 innings. Senga is slated to take the mound for his third start Saturday at home against the Athletics.
-
Lance McCullers HOU SP
Astros' Lance McCullers: Allows three runs in no-decision
2h agoMcCullers (1-0) didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Athletics, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts across four innings.
McCullers opened the game with four scoreless innings but allowed the first three batters to reach base to begin the fifth and was yanked in favor of Steven Okert, who allowed his two inherited runners to score on a bases-loaded triple by Tyler Soderstrom. McCullers will bring a 3.27 ERA and 13:4 K:BB across 11 innings into his next start Saturday on the road against the Mariners.
-
Jose Quintana COL SP
Rockies' Jose Quintana: Playing catch
3h agoQuintana (hamstring) has resumed playing catch, MLB.com reports.
Quintana returned to throwing only three days after being placed on the injured list, a positive sign that his absence won't be long-term. However, he also hasn't been cleared for any additional activity, so his exact timeline for a return is unclear.
-
Matt Brash SEA RP

Shota Imanaga CHC RP
Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Gets back on track Sunday
1h agoImanaga didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Guardians, allowing one run on three hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out four.
The left-hander found a rhythm in his second start of the season, considering he was coming off a poor season debut that saw him cough up four runs to Washington. Imanaga fired five shutout frames before coming out for the sixth inning but was pulled after giving up a leadoff double to Steven Kwan, who eventually came around to score. Imanaga sports an 11:3 K:BB over his first 10 frames of 2026, and a favorable home matchup versus the Pirates is on tap for his next start.

Devin Williams NYM RP
Mets' Devin Williams: Secures second save Sunday
1h agoWilliams earned his second save of the season in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Giants, allowing two hits with one strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.
Williams has yet to allow a run this season, though he flirted with trouble Sunday by allowing a couple of ninth-inning singles. Williams struck out Jung Hoo Lee to end the game. Through four innings this season, Williams owns a 5:2 K:BB.

Bryan Abreu HOU RP
Astros' Bryan Abreu: Serves up walk-off homer Sunday
2h agoAbreu (0-1) took the loss Sunday against the Athletics, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits and one walk across one-third of an inning.
Abreu came on in the bottom of the ninth with the game tied 9-9 and was able to get the final out to send it to the 10th inning. Houston scored one in the top half of the inning, and Abreu stayed on to try to close out his own win. He walked Tyler Soderstrom before allowing a three-run, walk-off homer to Brent Rooker. Abreu has allowed at least one run in all four of his appearances to open the season and now owns a hideous 23.63 ERA and 6:5 K:BB across 2.2 innings. He's already served up three home runs after allowing four all of last season. With Josh Hader (biceps) still on the injured list, Abreu appears to still be the favorite for saves in Houston, but his hold on the job has got to be loosening after four rough outings.

Mark Leiter ATH RP
Athletics' Mark Leiter: Charged with blown save Sunday
2h agoLeiter was charged with a blown save Sunday against the Astros, allowing one hit and one walk across one inning.
After Scott Barlow was unable to retire any of the four batters he faced to begin the eighth inning, Leiter was brought on with a 9-7 lead and runners on second and third. Leiter walked Yordan Alvarez to load the bases and allowed a game-tying, two-run single to Cam Smith two batters later. Leiter still owns the Athletics' lone save through nine games and has a 2.45 ERA across 3.2 innings.

Yordan Alvarez HOU DH
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Slugs fourth home run Sunday
2h agoAlvarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and two walks in Sunday's 12-10 loss to the Athletics.
Alvarez took Jacob Lopez deep in the fifth inning to get the scoring started in this one. It was Alvarez's fourth long ball of the season, and he's now driven in 10 runs. One of the hottest hitters in baseball through the first week-and-a-half, Alvarez owns a robust .400/.578/.900 slash line with 10 runs scored, one stolen base and a 12:6 BB:K across 45 trips to the plate.

Brent Rooker ATH DH
Athletics' Brent Rooker: Two homers, six RBI in walk-off win
3h agoRooker went 2-for-4 with two home runs, six RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's 12-10 win over the Astros.
Prior to Sunday's game, Rooker opened the season 4-for-30 with one RBI and a 3:14 BB:K across 33 trips to the plate. Rooker busted the slump in a big way in Sunday's back-and-forth affair. He hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth, broke a 5-5 tie with a two-run homer in the seventh and then walked it off with a three-run shot in the bottom of the 10th inning. Rooker now has his slash line up to .176/.256/.353 through nine games.

Joc Pederson TEX DH
Rangers' Joc Pederson: Launches first home run
4h agoPederson went 1-for-3 with a walk and a home run in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Cincinnati.
Pederson halted an 0-for-16 stretch to start the season with a seventh-inning home run. It's been a frustrating start to 2026, the second straight season he's opened with a significant slump. In 2025, Pederson was batting .052 (3-for-58) after 20 games on his way to a .181 average and nine home runs over 96 games.

Shohei Ohtani LAD DH
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Swats second homer
4h agoOhtani went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second RBI in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Nationals.
Ohtani opened the scoring in the third inning with a 438-foot blast off Foster Griffin, his second homer of the season. He'd later put the Dodgers ahead 7-6 with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. After starting the year 3-for-18, Ohtani has logged three consecutive multi-hit games, going 6-for-15 with a pair of homers and six RBI in that span.

Marcell Ozuna PIT DH
Pirates' Marcell Ozuna: Sitting amid slump
11h agoOzuna is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles
Ozuna went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in Saturday's contest to break a four-game hitless streak, but he'll take a seat for Sunday's series finale versus Baltimore. Bryan Reynolds will rest his legs as the designated hitter, opening up a spot in the outfield for Jake Mangum.

Byron Buxton MIN DH
Twins' Byron Buxton: Back in lineup Sunday
13h agoBuxton (forearm) is starting at DH and batting second against Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Buxton was hit in the forearm by a pitch Friday and was held out of Saturday's contest. However, he appears to have avoided a major injury given his return to the lineup Sunday. The All-Star outfielder has struggled to begin the campaign, slashing .154/.207/.269 with just one RBI and a 1:9 BB:K through seven games.
