Quentin Johnston LAC WR
Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Fifth-year option exercised
2h agoThe Chargers exercised Johnston's fifth-year option for the 2027 season Tuesday.
The No. 21 overall pick in the 2023 Draft, Johnston has gotten his career on track after what was a subpar rookie season. Across 29 regular-season games over the past two seasons, Johnston has secured 106 of 175 targets for 1,446 yards and 16 touchdowns as Justin Herbert's top downfield perimeter wideout. Johnston has improved his yards-per-catch average every season and finished 21st in the NFL at 14.4 yards per reception during the 2025 campaign. With Keenan Allen still unsigned, there's room for Johnston's role to grow this upcoming season.

Russell Wilson NYG QB
Russell Wilson: Visits with Jets on Tuesday
2h agoWilson visited with the Jets on Tuesday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Wilson is being considered as an option to back up Geno Smith after the two quarterbacks previously spent time together in Seattle. Now 37 years old, Wilson doesn't have a whole lot left in the tank and has looked overmatched when forced into game action in recent seasons, but he'd be a solid veteran sounding board wherever he ends up for the 2026 season.

Diego Pavia 2005 QB
Ravens' Diego Pavia: Inks UDFA deal with Baltimore
2h agoThe Ravens signed Pavia as an undrafted free agent Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Pavia was initially slated to participate in rookie minicamp with Baltimore this upcoming weekend, but the Ravens decided to ink him to a deal. It's a standard three-year, entry-level deal that every undrafted rookie gets, and it does't mean Pavia will be guaranteed to stick around for the entire offseason or even make the 53-man roster. Pavia is simply being brought on to compete for a job after the Heisman Trophy finalist went undrafted last weekend. Pavia's biggest pre-draft red flags were his 5-foot-10 height, advanced age (24 years old) and off-field character questions. While on the field at Vanderbilt last season, Pavia was first in the the SEC in completion percentage (70.6), yards per attempt (9.4) and touchdown passes (29), and he threw for 3,539 yards while rushing 167 times for 862 yards and 10 additional touchdowns.

Jonathon Brooks CAR RB
Panthers' Jonathon Brooks: Fully cleared for offseason program
3h agoBrooks (knee) said Tuesday that he's been fully cleared to participate in the Panthers' offseason program, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Brooks said he feels "close to 100 percent" after tearing his right ACL for the second time in Week 14 of the 2024 campaign. Brooks missed the entirety of the 2025 campaign but appears ready to contribute this season. The offseason has set up nicely for Brooks after Rico Dowdle left in free agency, leaving Brooks as the clear favorite to open the season as the RB2 behind Chuba Hubbard. AJ Dillon was signed to a minimum-level deal but has barely played over the last two seasons, and Trevor Etienne is a satellite back who mainly played special teams as a 2025 rookie.
-
Tre Harris LAC WR
Chargers' Tre' Harris: Receiver room competition
4h agoHarris could have competition within the wide receiver room after the Chargers selected Brenen Thompson 105th overall during the 2026 NFL Draft.
New offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel reportedly had significant interest in Thompson because of his blazing 4.26 40-yard dash, reminiscent of the wide receiver archetype he valued as a head coach in Miami. It's hard to tell if the Chargers will have designated plays for Thompson, or if that role will feature Harris, the 2025 second-round pick who made his bones at the collegiate level as a RPO specialist. Harris' rookie year was relatively mundane (30-324-1) despite playing all 17 regular-season games, but with Keenan Allen potentially no longer on the roster, there's overall more opportunities available in Los Angeles in what figures to be a more pass-happy scheme come 2026.
-
Martin Emerson CLE CB
Martin Emerson: Visiting with New Orleans
4h agoEmerson is visiting the Saints on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Mississippi State product was sidelined for Cleveland's entire 2025 campaign due to a torn Achilles, but he's now visited with the Texans and Saints in April, suggesting he's moved past the issue. Emerson was a crucial part of the Browns' defense from 2022 to 2023, appearing in 33 regular-season games and logging 122 total tackles and 29 passes defensed, including four interceptions.
-
Carter Jensen KC C
Royals' Carter Jensen: On bench Tuesday
8m agoJensen is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Athletics.
Jensen had started in the last six games for the Royals since he last sat April 19. In that span, he went 8-for-23 with a double, home run and four RBI. As he rests Tuesday, Salvador Perez has the start behind the plate and is batting cleanup.
-
Christian Yelich MIL LF
Brewers' Christian Yelich: Remains on track
12m agoYelich (groin) is ramping up his hitting and running work and still has an estimated return of mid-to-late May, Sophia Minnaert of Brewers.tv reports.
Yelich landed on the shelf April 14 with a left groin strain and was given an initial recovery timeline of 4-to-6 weeks, and he has apparently progressed as expected thus far. Gary Sanchez has operated as Milwaukee's primary designated hitter with Yelich on the shelf, but Tyler Black has also picked up a couple starts since getting promoted from Triple-A Nashville on Friday.
-
Maikel Garcia KC 3B
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Back in lineup Tuesday
13m agoGarcia (elbow) is starting at third and batting leadoff Tuesday versus the Athletics.
Garcia did not start the last three games Friday through Sunday due to right elbow cramps. However, he was able to come off of the bench Sunday for two plate appearances and was able come around for a run after drawing a walk.
-
Lawrence Butler ATH CF
Athletics' Lawrence Butler: Resting Tuesday
15m agoButler isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals.
Butler will get a day to regroup Tuesday after going just 1-for-14 at the plate with two walks and six strikeouts across his last four starts. His absence will allow Colby Thomas to pick up a start in right field while batting fifth.
-
Clayton Beeter WAS RP
Nationals' Clayton Beeter: MRI comes back clean
19m agoBeeter (forearm) had an MRI come back clean and was cleared to resume throwing Tuesday, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.
The right-hander landed on the injured list Sunday due to right forearm soreness, and the quick return to throwing should allow him to avoid a lengthy stay on the injured list. Beeter will be eligible to be reinstated May 8 in Miami, and it's possible he'll be able to return on or shortly after that date.
-
Chase Meidroth CHW SS
White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Resting Tuesday
23m agoMeidroth is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Angels.
Until Tuesday, Meidroth had started in 11 consecutive games since sitting April 15. The infielder went 15-for-44 with a RBI, two doubles and five walks in that span. Sam Antonacci and Luisangel Acuna are starting in the middle infield for the White Sox Tuesday.

Ryan Dunn PHO SF
Suns' Ryan Dunn: Fails to take step forward
2h agoDunn amassed zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) in one minute during Monday's 131-122 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Despite opening the year in a starting role, the second-year forward was unable to hold down a spot in the Phoenix first unit this year. Dunn averaged 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 19.4 minutes per game over 70 appearances (16 starts) during the regular season.
-
Amir Coffey PHO SF
Suns' Amir Coffey: Finishes season in muted role
2h agoCoffey provided no counting stats in one minute during Monday's 131-122 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Coffey, an impending unrestricted free agent, failed to make much of an impact with Phoenix following a trade from the Bucks at the February deadline. Over 16 regular-season games for the Suns, Coffey averaged 4.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 14.1 minutes per tilt.
-
Jamaree Bouyea PHO PG
Suns' Jamaree Bouyea: Plays limited role in 2025-26
2h agoBouyea recorded two points (1-1 FG) in one minute during Monday's 131-122 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
After opening the year under a two-way pact, Bouyea later signed a one-year contract with the Suns in March. The deal included a $2.58 million team option for 2026-27, which Phoenix will presumably pick up this offseason in order to fortify its backcourt depth. Bouyea averaged 5.7 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 14.0 minutes per contest through 46 games during the regular season.
-
Khaman Maluach PHO C
Suns' Khaman Maluach: Subdued finish to rookie year
2h agoMaluach chipped in two points (1-1 FG) and two rebounds across five minutes during Monday's 131-122 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
The rookie first-rounder struggled to earn consistent playing time in 2025-26, finishing with averages of 3.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 8.9 minutes per tilt across 46 regular-season games. Barring the Suns losing Mark Williams (foot) in restricted free agency, Maluach might have a hard time cracking Phoenix's Opening Night rotation in 2026-27 with Oso Ighodaro also in the picture.
-
Rasheer Fleming PHO PF
Suns' Rasheer Fleming: Quiet rookie campaign
2h agoFleming finished with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound, one block and two steals over nine minutes during Monday's 131-122 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
The 2025 second-rounder made a lone start during his rookie campaign, closing with averages of 4.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.4 steals in 12.2 minutes per tilt through 55 regular-season games. If the Suns are unable to retain Collin Gillespie this summer, Fleming would have an opportunity to claim a more prominent role in 2026-27.
-
Royce O'Neale PHO PF
Suns' Royce O'Neale: Wraps up serviceable campaign
2h agoO'Neale supplied eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt), seven rebounds and two assists over 18 minutes during Monday's 131-122 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
The Suns battled plenty of injuries to their wings in 2025-26, allowing O'Neale to maintain a significant role throughout the year and draw 67 starts. Over 78 regular-season contests, the veteran swingman averaged a career-high 9.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.7 three-pointers in 28.4 minutes per game while shooting 40.8 percent from deep. O'Neale is under team control for the next two seasons.

Jeremy Swayman BOS G
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Patrolling paint in Game 5
5m agoSwayman will guard the road crease in Tuesday's Game 5 against Buffalo, per Jack Studley of Boston Hockey Now.
Swayman will look to bounce back Tuesday after allowing six goals in Boston's 6-1 loss in Game 4. He was ultimately pulled for Joonas Korpisalo in the third period Outside of Game 4, Swayman has been solid with a 1-2-0 record, a 2.38 GAA and a .931 save percentage across his first three starts in the first-round matchup. With the Bruins' season on the line, Swayman will have heightened motivation for Tuesday's Game 5 and should post better numbers than he did on Sunday.
-
Nikita Zadorov BOS D
Bruins' Nikita Zadorov: Good to go Tuesday
8m agoZadorov (undisclosed) will play against Buffalo on Tuesday in Game 5, according to Adam Pellerin of NESN.
After missing Monday's practice for maintenance, Zadorov will be good to go for Tuesday's must-win matchup versus the Sabres. He has collected one assist, four shots on goal, four blocked shots, 16 hits and 37 PIM in four appearances this postseason. The Bruins need a victory to force Game 6 in Boston on Friday.
-
Viktor Arvidsson BOS LW
Bruins' Viktor Arvidsson: Ruled out for Game 5
25m agoArvidsson (upper body) will miss Tuesday's Game 5 against the Sabres, per Amalie Benjamin of NHL.com.
Arvidsson did not travel with the Bruins to Buffalo after sustaining the upper-body injury early in Game 4. The 33-year-old winger has been a large part of the Bruins' offense during the first-round matchup with two goals and 11 shots on net across four games. If Boston can force Game 6, Arvidsson will have a chance to return to the team's lineup in another win-or-go-home situation. In his absence, Michael Eyssimont, James Hagens or Alex Steeves will likely occupy Arvidsson's spot in the lineup.
-
Lukas Dostal ANA G
Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Guarding cage Tuesday
2h agoDostal will patrol the crease on the road in Game 5 against the Oilers on Tuesday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Dostal has given up three or more goals in each of his last six outings, posting a 3-2-1 record, 3.65 GAA and .870 save percentage along the way. While those ratios aren't great, all three of those wins came in the postseason, giving the Ducks a 3-1 series lead.
-
Radko Gudas ANA D
Ducks' Radko Gudas: Not expected to play in Edmonton
3h agoGudas (lower body) is expected to remain sidelined for Game 5 in Edmonton on Tuesday, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News.
Head coach Joel Quenneville relayed to the media that are unlikely to be any lineup changes Tuesday, so Gudas is set to miss his fourth consecutive game after playing in the series opener. The right-shot blueliner wasn't present at the morning skate, and it's unclear how he is progressing in his recovery. If the Oilers stave off elimination in Game 5, the series will shift back to Anaheim for Game 6 on Thursday.
-
Ross Johnston ANA LW
Ducks' Ross Johnston: Set to miss out versus Oilers
3h agoJohnston (lower body) is expected to remain out of the lineup versus the Oilers in Game 5 on Tuesday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Johnston has been on the shelf since March 10 versus the Jets due to his lower-body injury. Prior to getting hurt, the 32-year-old winger was mired in a seven-game pointless streak during which he managed just three shots. Even if Johnston is cleared to return, he could struggle to break back into the lineup, especially if the Ducks keep winning.
