Jaylon Hutchings MIN DE
Jaylon Hutchings: Cut by Minnesota
10h agoThe Vikings waived Hutchings (undisclosed) with a non-football injury designation Tuesday.
Hutchings went undrafted out of Texas Tech in 2024 and has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL contest.

Zach Tom GB G
Packers' Zach Tom: Underwent surgery on knee
10h agoPackers GM Brian Gutekunst confirmed Tuesday that Tom (knee) underwent surgery this offseason to repair his partially torn patellar tendon, Dominique Yates of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Tom popped up on the injury report with a knee injury in December but ended up missing the Packers' final four contests of the 2025 season, including the wild-card loss to the Bears. He tired to push through the injury but was unable to do so before needing surgery. Tom has started all 46 games in which he's appeared over the last three regular seasons.

T.J. Edwards CHI LB
Bears' T.J. Edwards: Still recovering from fractured leg
10h agoEdwards (lower leg) said Tuesday that he's progressing in his rehab from a fractured fibula and is aiming to be ready for Week 1, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports.
Edwards suffered the injury in Chicago's wild-card win over the Packers back in January. "I will push as hard as I can to move it as quickly as possible, but I also want to be smart about it, too," Edwards said. "I'll be ready when it's time to go." After starting all 17 regular-season games in each of the previous three seasons, Edwards dealt with injuries in 2025 and made just 10 regular-season starts before his postseason injury.

Jack Westover NE TE
Patriots' Jack Westover: Signs ERFA tender
10h agoWestover signed his exclusive-rights free-agent tender with the Patriots on Tuesday.
It was merely a formality for the 26-year-old lead blocker. Westover has touched the ball one time in 20 career regular-season games and has logged 246 offensive snaps in that span.

Daniel Jones IND QB
Colts' Daniel Jones: Making progress
14h agoColts coach Shane Steichen noted Tuesday that Jones is already "dropping back" to pass at this stage of his recovery from a torn right Achilles, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Jones suffered his Achilles tear on Dec. 7 last year, so the QB still has a way to go in his recovery, and with that in mind the Colts have not yet put a definitive timeline on when Jones might be fully cleared. That said, Steichen noted that the team's franchise signal caller is having a "phenomenal rehab," adding that he's confident Jones is doing everything he can to be ready sooner rather than later. With Jones on the mend for now, Riley Leonard is in line to handle added first-team reps during OTAs, while Anthony Richardson (eye) -- who has requested a trade -- wasn't present for the start of Indy's current voluntary sessions.
-
Harold Fannin Jr. CLE TE
Browns' Harold Fannin: Participates in minicamp
15h agoFannin (groin) participated in Tuesday's voluntary veteran minicamp practice, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
Fannin sat out the Browns' 2025 season finale against the Bengals due to a groin injury, but the tight end's participation in Monday's session illustrates that he's moved past the issue. As the coming campaign approaches, Fannin sits firmly atop his team's TE depth chart, which no longer includes David Njoku, who remains a free agent. As a rookie last year, Fannin recorded a team-high 72 catches (on 107 targets) for 731 yards and six TDs in 16 regular-season contests. With Njoku no longer in the mix, Fannin should have an opportunity to improve on those numbers, health-permitting, given that current reserves Jack Stoll, Blake Whiteheart, Brenden Bates and Sal Cannella are not likely to command significant volume in Cleveland's offense.

Dustin Harris HOU 1B
Astros' Dustin Harris: Not starting Wednesday
3m agoHarris (hand) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Harris had started in the Astros' first two games of the series and went 0-for-4 with a walk and two runs before being forced out of Tuesday's 8-5 loss in the bottom of the fifth inning after being hit in the left hand by a pitch in the top of the frame. Though the Astros have classified Harris' hand injury as a bruise, he's feeling sore enough that he'll be held out of the lineup Wednesday against a right-hander (Tanner Bibee). Houston will go with a starting outfield of Brice Matthews, Daniel Johnson and Cam Smith from left to right in the series finale.

Jacob Bird NYY RP
Yankees' Jake Bird: Summoned to big leagues
7m agoThe Yankees recalled Bird from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.
He's grabbing the roster spot vacated by Ryan Weathers, who was placed on the paternity leave list. Bird has given up six runs over seven innings at the big-league level this season, though that's come with a 9:1 K:BB. He will likely be sent back down later this week when Weathers returns.
-
Ryan Weathers NYY SP
Yankees' Ryan Weathers: Heads to paternity list
8m agoThe Yankees placed Weathers on the paternity list Wednesday.
Weathers will be away from the Yankees for the next 1-to-3 days while he welcomes a new addition to his family. After tossing 7.1 scoreless innings in a win over the Royals his last time out Sunday, Weathers wasn't scheduled to make his next turn until Saturday in Houston. As such, the Yankees shouldn't have to adjust their rotation to accommodate for Weathers' move to the paternity list.
-
Graham Pauley MIA 3B
Marlins' Graham Pauley: Sitting against righty
13m agoPauley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
The left-handed-hitting Pauley often sits versus southpaws, but he'll be heading to the bench Wednesday while right-hander Kyle Leahy starts for the Cardinals. Though Javier Sanoja will fill in at third base in the series finale, Pauley could face a greater threat from Connor Norby for reps at the hot corner once Christopher Morel (oblique) returns from the injured list. Morel had been in line to serve as the Marlins' primary first baseman before straining his oblique prior to Opening Day, but Norby has been handling those duties through the first four weeks of the season and has produced a .738 OPS. Pauley, meanwhile, has struggled to a .492 OPS and has struck out at a 27.3 percent clip over 55 plate appearances.
-
Connor Norby MIA 2B
Marlins' Connor Norby: Receiving breather Wednesday
18m agoNorby is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
Liam Hicks will fill in at first base for Norby, who will receive a rest for the matinee game after starting in each of the Marlins' previous 11 contests while slashing .282/.326/.436 with one home run, five RBI and three runs. Christopher Morel (oblique) could soon return from the injured list and unseat Norby as the Marlins' primary first baseman, though Norby could still have a path to receiving steady reps at either third base or designated hitter.
-
Kyle Stowers MIA RF
Marlins' Kyle Stowers: Taking seat for day game
21m agoStowers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
Stowers missed the first three weeks of the season due to a right hamstring strain before coming off the injured list Sunday and starting in each of the Marlins' subsequent three games while going 3-for-10 with a double, two walks and two runs. The 28-year-old hasn't suffered any reported setbacks since returning, so his absence Wednesday looks to be the result of him getting rest for a day game after a night game.

Alperen Sengun HOU C
Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Drops 23 points in loss
8m agoSengun finished Tuesday's 101-94 loss to the Lakers in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 20 points (9-20 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and four steals over 35 minutes.
Sengun put together a strong line in Tuesday's win, but it wasn't enough as Houston dropped to a 2-0 series deficit. Through two games, he's averaging 19.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 2.5 steals.
-
Robert Williams III POR C
Trail Blazers' Robert Williams: Plays well off bench
10m agoWilliams closed Tuesday's 106-103 victory over the Spurs in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 23 minutes.
Donovan Clingan has struggled in this series, so Williams may be asked to do a bit more going forward after making a strong impression Tuesday. He will be tasked with slowing down Victor Wembanyama, although San Antonio's franchise player is now in jeopardy of missing time with a concussion.
-
Toumani Camara POR SF
Trail Blazers' Toumani Camara: Nearly double-doubles
12m agoCamara totaled 10 points (3-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 106-103 win over the Spurs in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Camara posted a well-rounded stat line as the Trail Blazers managed to level the series at one win apiece. Through two games, Camara holds averages of 9.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 2.5 steals in 33.5 minutes per contest.
-
De'Aaron Fox SA PG
Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Scores 17 points in loss
14m agoFox provided 17 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 106-103 loss to the Trail Blazers in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Victor Wembanyama has been diagnosed with a concussion and will undergo further testing Wednesday, putting his status for Game 3 in jeopardy. If Wembanyama is unable to play Friday, Fox will almost certainly see a bump in usage for the Spurs.
-
Jayson Tatum BOS PF
Celtics' Jayson Tatum: Nearly triple-doubles
16m agoTatum closed with 19 points (8-19 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 14 rebounds, nine assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Tuesday's 111-97 loss to Philadelphia in Game 2 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Tatum was ice cold from beyond the arc but missed out on a triple-double by just one assist. Through two postseason contests, he's averaging 22.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.5 steals on 47.2 percent shooting from the field.
-
Andre Drummond PHI C
76ers' Andre Drummond: Strong line off bench
18m agoDrummond closed with 10 points (4-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 26 minutes during Tuesday's 111-97 win over the Celtics in Game 2 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Adem Bona continues to struggle as the fill-in starting center, while Drummond bounced back Tuesday after a lackluster effort in Game 1. Embiid (abdomen) started his post-appendectomy strength and conditioning program Monday, but his status for Game 3 looks iffy at best.
-
Alex Lyon BUF G
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Perfect in relief Tuesday
2m agoLyon turned aside all seven shots he faced after replacing Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen early in the third period Tuesday during the Sabres' 4-2 loss to the Bruins in Game 2 of their first-round series.
Luukkonen has looked shaky through the first two games of the series, coughing up seven goals on only 39 shots, so Lyon's strong play late Tuesday -- even if it did come after the game was all but out of reach -- will give coach Lindy Ruff something to think about heading into Game 3 on Thursday. The 33-year-old Lyon hasn't started a game since March 27 and hasn't won one since March 19, however, finishing the regular season with a 2.77 GAA and .906 save percentage over 36 outings.
-
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen BUF G
Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Gets hook in Game 2 loss
5m agoLuukkonen gave up four goals on 19 shots before being replaced by Alex Lyon early in the third period Tuesday during the Sabres' 4-2 loss to the Bruins in Game 2 of their first-round series.
After a scoreless first period, things fell apart for Buffalo in the second, and Luukkonen didn't help matters when he let a bouncing puck get past him for Boston's second goal on a backhand flip from center ice by Morgan Geekie. Lyon was perfect in relief in the final frame, creating a potential goaltending controversy for the Sabres heading into Game 3 on Thursday after Luukkonen gave up seven goals on only 39 shots through the first two games in the series.
-
Elias Salomonsson WPG D
Jets' Elias Salomonsson: Heads to AHL
8m agoSalomonsson (concussion) was reassigned to AHL Manitoba on Wednesday.
Salomonsson was in the concussion protocol, but this move suggests that he's been cleared medically. The 21-year-old had a goal and five points across 32 regular-season outings with Winnipeg in 2025-26.
-
Jonathan Aspirot BOS D
Bruins' Jonathan Aspirot: Two helpers in Game 2 win
11m agoAspirot pocketed two assists Tuesday during the Bruins' 4-2 win over the Sabres in Game 2 of their first-round series.
The rookie defenseman helped set up Viktor Arvidsson tallies in the second and third periods. Aspirot hadn't produced any points at all in eight April games leading into Tuesday, including a Game 1 loss, but he's been finding other ways to contribute with seven blocked shots and four hits through two games to begin the series.
-
David Pastrnak BOS RW
Bruins' David Pastrnak: Two-point effort in Game 2
14m agoPastrnak notched two assists Tuesday, one on the power play, during the Bruins' 4-2 win over the Sabres in Game 2 of their first-round series.
Both helpers came in the second period as Boston took control of the game, as Pastrnak had a hand in tallies by Morgan Geekie and Pavel Zacha. Pastrnak has come flying out of the gates this postseason with a goal and five points in two games, on the heels of his fourth straight regular season with at least 100 points, and the 29-year-old superstar will look to stay locked in as the series shifts to Boston for Game 3 on Thursday.
-
Casey Mittelstadt BOS C
Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: Two helpers Tuesday
18m agoMittelstadt picked up two assists Tuesday during the Bruins' 4-2 win over the Sabres in Game 2 of their first-round series.
The 27-year-old had a hand in both of Viktor Arvidsson's tallies on the night early in the second and third periods, as Mittelstadt got some revenge against the team he made his NHL debut with back in 2017-18. Mittelstadt has a sluggish finish to the regular season, managing one goal and two points over his last eight games, but he's still skating in a top-six role for Boston and could provide a spark in the playoffs after recording 15 goals and 42 points in 71 regular-season contests.
