  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Three-point effort in win

Bedard scored a goal, added two power-play assists and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Oilers. Bedard has multiple points in both of the games where the Blackhawks have scored more than one goal. The 19-year-old is up to five points (two on the power play), seven shots on net and a plus-2 rating through three outings this season. As if there was any doubt, he'll continue to center the top line and should be capable of producing offense at a high volume throughout the campaign.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Chips in with two assists

Bedard notched two assists and five shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Utah. Bedard had a hand in both of the Blackhawks' goals, making him a bright spot in the loss. The 19-year-old will be asked to carry a large share of the offense again this season, though he looks more than capable of that task. He produced 22 goals, 39 assists and 206 shots on net last season while also taking a minus-44 rating over 68 appearances. With a slightly better supporting cast, Bedard could push for the 70-point mark in 2024-25.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Lights lamp twice again

Bedard scored two goals in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers. Both goals were highlight-reel beauties. On the second, he collected a puck in the neutral zone, turned on the jets to get ahead of three Florida players coming over the boards on a line change, then beat Bobrovsky again to his glove side. Bedard is up to nine goals and 13 points through his first 13 NHL games, including four goals and six points in his last two. While the season is barely a month old, an injury is likely the only thing that could stop the 2023 first overall pick from bringing home a Calder Trophy.
