  • Bruins' Frederic Brunet: Logs first NHL point

Brunet picked up a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two hits and four blocked shots in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Mammoth.

Brunet broke camp with the Bruins and has now played in the last two contests. He's logged seven blocked shots, three shots on net and a plus-1 rating in addition to his assist, which was the first point of his NHL career. The 23-year-old defenseman's time on the top power-play unit could be short, as Charlie McAvoy figures to resume that role Tuesday after the conclusion of his suspension. The Bruins could carry eight blueliners moving forward, but that could lead to part-time roles for all of Brunet, Mason Lohrei and Jonathan Aspirot.

  • Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Two-point outburst in win

Poitras scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 6-1 win over Utah.

It was his second game this season after missing three contests with a lower-body injury. Poitras is the Bruins' fourth-line pivot. His ice time will be limited in that role, but it will be a great learning experience. Poitras' fantasy value will come in the future.

  • Bruins' Mason Lohrei: Three points in first five games

Lohrei scored a goal Thursday in a 6-1 win over Utah.

Lohrei's goal chased Sebastian Cossa from the Utah net; it was the Bruins third goal in a 5:45 span in the second half of the first period. He has three points, including two assists, in five games this season. Lohrei also has four shots and five blocks while playing an average of 19:48. His role will shift slightly when Charlie McAvoy (suspension) returns, but Lohrei will still deliver strong fantasy numbers.

  • Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: First goal of season

Mittelstadt scored a goal in a 6-1 win over Utah on Thursday.

It was Mittelstadt's first goal of the season. He's fresh off a 15-goal, 42-point season, and he's skating with Elias Lindholm and rookie James Hagens on the team's third line. Mittelstadt's days of high 50s point totals are behind him, but he can deliver another 40-point campaign, especially with his role on the second power-play unit.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Three power-play points in win

Geekie had a goal and two assists, all on the power play, in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Mammoth.

The goal was Geekie's first of the season after a 39-goal, 68-point campaign in 2025-26. He has scored 72 goals in the last two seasons, and he's in a great position to deliver the same kind of production this season. Geekie is skating on the top line with David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha, and he hops the boards on the top power play unit.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Fantastic start to season continues

Swayman made 36 saves in a 6-1 win over Utah on Thursday.

Swayman is now 3-1-0 with one shutout, a 1.98 GAA and .932 save percentage in four starts this season. His three wins tie him for first in the NHL. Swayman is off to an outstanding start to the season. It may be hard to sustain these ratios, but he'll be a top-10 fantasy netminder all year.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Four-point explosion lifts team to win

Pastrnak scored two power-play goals and added two assists, including one with the man advantage, in a 6-1 win over Utah on Thursday.

The goals were his first two of the season and the Bruins' first two on the man advantage. The team went into the contest 0-for-10 through four games. One of Pastrnak's goals stood as the winner. It was his 19th four-point game to move past Adam Oates for eighth most in team history, and he tied Brad Marchand (442) for fourth on the franchise's all-time goals list. Pastrnak needs just five more goals to tie Patrice Bergeron (427) for third on the list, and he could pass Phil Esposito (459) this season if he hits the 40-goal mark.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Tending twine Thursday

Swayman will patrol the home crease in Thursday's clash against the Mammoth, per Andrew Fantucchio of Inside the Rink.

Swayman will return to action Thursday after he allowed four goals to the Senators in Monday's loss. However, the Bruins' defense looked spotty in the defeat, so the whole team will be looking to bounce back Thursday against the Mammoth, who have won three of their first four outings in 2026-27. Despite the tough matchup, Swayman remains a solid starter in all fantasy formats. He has a 2-1-0 record, a 2.31 GAA, a .914 save percentage and a shutout across his first three appearances this season.

  • Bruins' James Hagens: Lights lamp again Monday

Hagens scored an unassisted goal in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Senators.

The 19-year-old spoiled a combined shutout bid for Ottawa with an aggressive forecheck early in the third period, as his pressure forced Samuel Ersson to misplay the puck in the corner and allowed Hagens to bank the puck home off the netminder as he scrambled to get back in position. It was a strong recovery for Hagens after it was his neutral-zone giveaway in the second period that led directly to a Drake Batherson tally. Growing pains are to be expected for the seventh overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, but Hagens has his first two NHL goals in four contests to begin the current campaign while adding seven shots on net, four hits, three blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-1 rating while skating on the third line at even strength and the second power-play unit.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Rough night against Sens

Swayman made 20 saves in Monday's 4-1 loss to Ottawa.

The Bruins' defense was lackluster, to say the least, in front of Swayman. The Senators' first two goals were scored on 2-on-1 counter-attacks on the same Boston power play in the first period, while Drake Batherson's tally early in the second came on a clean breakaway from the blue line after a neutral zone turnover. The loss was Swayman's first of the season after two wins, but he's still allowed just seven goals on 81 total shots, thanks largely to a shutout of the Rangers in the Bruins' opener.

  • Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Ready to rock

Poitras (lower body) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup against Ottawa on Monday, Jack Studley of Boston Hockey Now reports.

Poitras sat out the first three games of the 2026-27 campaign after getting hurt during training camp. He had one goal, eight shots on net and two blocked shots in three regular-season appearances for Boston in 2025-26. Poitras is poised to replace Sean Kuraly on the fourth line in Monday's matchup against the Senators.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Starting against Ottawa

Swayman will start Monday's home game against the Senators, Jack Studley of Boston Hockey Now reports.

Swayman picked up wins in each of his first two starts of the season, posting a 1.48 GAA and .947 save percentage during that time. After sitting out the second half of a back-to-back set Saturday in Minnesota, the 27-year-old will return to the crease as the Bruins return home Monday.

  • Bruins' Michael Eyssimont: Hits waivers Sunday

Eyssimont was placed on waivers by the Bruins on Sunday.

Eyssimont made the Bruins' Opening Night roster out of training camp as the 13th forward. However, he was placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to AHL Providence on Sunday in a move that could have been a precedent to Boston activating Matthew Poitras (lower body) from injured reserve. Regardless of the move's purpose, Eyssimont is a solid player who posted eight goals and 18 points across 56 regular-season outings in 2025-26. He will await his future over the next 24 hours, and if he goes unclaimed, he'll return to the Bruins' organization.

  • Bruins' Tanner Jeannot: Tallies lone goal in loss

Jeannot scored a goal in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Wild.

Jeannot's goal opened the scoring, but the Bruins ran out of steam in the second game of their back-to-back. The 29-year-old forward has opened the season as a fixture on the fourth line. He's racked up 10 hits and two PIM over three contests, with his goal Saturday being his first point of the campaign. Jeannot can help in banger leagues, but he's unlikely to score enough to be useful in standard fantasy formats, though he had 22 points in 77 regular-season outings last year.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Falls short against Wild

DiPietro stopped 26 of 29 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Wild. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

The Wild controlled the last two periods, but DiPietro put in a fairly good effort. The 27-year-old netminder is filling an NHL role on a full-time basis for the first time. DiPietro has some fantasy upside in more favorable matchups than this one, but his playing time could be limited to 20-25 games as Jeremy Swayman's backup. The Bruins don't have a back-to-back over the next week, so it's unclear if DiPietro will get another chance to resume the hunt for his first win in the near future.
