Baylor quarterback Seth Russell suffered a season-ending neck injury in October and was forced to have surgery to repair it. On Thursday, Russell announced on his Instagram that doctors gave his neck a clean bill of health, it has "healed perfectly" and that he was fully released.
Prior to suffering the neck injury, Russell completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 2,104 yards, 29 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Russell was replaced by Jarrett Stidham, who was also very successful running the Bears high-powered offense before he suffered a broken ankle in late November against Oklahoma State that ended his season as well.
