| Stubbs a late scratch: The Reds scratched Drew Stubbs from their starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros. Replacing him in center field was Chris Heisey, who in turn was replaced by Dave Sappelt in left field. Manager Dusty Baker cited Stubbs' recent struggles as the reason for the benching. Baker told MLB.com, "It looks like he's a little lost right now. We'll give him some time off and hope he finds his way the next couple of days with today and tomorrow's off-day. Sometimes, you go through a period when you're lost." Stubbs is batting .179 with no home runs for the month of September. (Updated 09/21/2011) |
