LOOK: Alive Roger Goodell jokes about NFL trying to kill him off
The report of Roger Goodell's death was greatly exaggerated
Roger Goodell didn't die Tuesday, despite a tweet from the NFL's official account stating as much. Instead, as we all came to find out, the account had been hacked, and Goodell, 57, was very much alive and kicking. As was his sense of humor.
Man, you leave the office for 1 day of golf w/ @JimKelly1212 & your own network kills you off. #harshpic.twitter.com/BvtBVzdYTc

@nflcommish Ahhhh--it's Zombie Roger Goodell.

In more serious news, attorney Michael McCann, writing for SI.com, says that the hacker "could be charged with violating the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFRA) ... which carries stiff prison sentences (and) prohibits hacking." McCann adds that Goodell and the league "could also consider civil lawsuits against the hacker," assuming he or she is ever identified.
