LOOK: Panthers somehow forget to cover Falcons tight end on 42-yard TD
You can't get more open than Austin Hooper was on this touchdown pass
It's been a rough day for the Panthers secondary in Atlanta.
Carolina's defense has been torched by Julio Jones -- who caught seven passes for 170 yards in the first half alone.
Unfortunately for Carolina, the second half isn't going much better. Although the Panthers have done a slightly better job of covering Jones, they're not doing a good job of covering the Falcons' other receivers.
Take Austin Hooper for instance. On a first-and-10 play from Carolina's 42-yard line in the third quarter, Hooper found a hole in the Panthers' secondary.
A giant hole.
As a matter of fact, this might be the most wide open that anyone's ever been in NFL history. There's no one within 10 yards of the Falcons' tight end.

Matt Ryan quickly spotted Hooper and threw a perfect pass toward him. Hooper caught the ball at the 15-yard line and then ran it in for an easy touchdown.

And Matty Ice made them pay.@AtlantaFalcons TOUCHDOWN. #RiseUphttps://t.co/VWk5XZx11s
Hooper's touchdown gave the Falcons a 24-10 lead, and Atlanta has since extended that to 31-10.
Ryan has three touchdown passes through three quarters and has already thrown for more than 400 yards.
