Thanks to Rex Ryan, this Thursday's game between the Bills and the Jets will probably be worth watching for the coin flip alone.

The Bills coach said on Monday that one of his captains for this week's game is going to be IK Enemkpali. And yes, that's the same IK Enemkpali who was playing for the Jets until he was cut on Aug. 11 because he punched Geno Smith in the face and broke his jaw

"Yeah. I'll get ripped, whatever," Ryan said, via the Buffalo News.

It might seem like Ryan has been silently planning this since Aug. 12, when the Bills claimed Enemkpali off of waivers, but that's not the case, Ryan actually makes it a habit of choosing captains that used to play for the other team.

"I do this all the time," Ryan said. "Anybody that's played, you're going to see."

When Ryan says he does it "all the time," he's not kidding. When the Bills played the Dolphins on Sunday, Ryan made Richie Incognito a captain.

In Week 7, everyone on the Bills offensive line was named a captain. Ryan did that because the the Bills were playing the Jaguars and Jacksonville's offensive line coach, Doug Marrone, was the Bills head coach before quitting last January.

Ryan knows he might get some blowback for naming Enemkapli a captain, but he doesn't seem to care.

The Bills and Jets kickoff at 8:25 p.m. on Thursday, however, you might want to tune-in a few minutes early, just to make sure you don't miss the coin toss.
