Nashville ice girls clean up catfish with their bare hands (video)
In Detroit they throw cephalopods on the ice during the playoffs. In Florida, it's plastic rats. In Nashville? Catfish. Big catfish.
It happened again -- multiple times -- during the first period of the Predators-Coyotes game on Wednesday night, and as the video below shows the responsibility of cleaning them up tends to fall on the ice girls and their bare hands.
The debate surrounding this particular fish is whether or not it was still (barely) alive as it was being carted off the ice (personally, I think it was just the way she was carrying it that makes it appear it's squirming, but I could be wrong).
Either way, the question here is how dedicated (and crazy) of a fan must one be to sneak a catfish that size (presumably under their shirt or, even worse, in their pants) into an arena, and then risk ejection by throwing it on the ice during the game? And that says nothing for the poor person that has to sit next to that fan that will likely be reeking of catfish for the remainder of the game.
