WATCH: WWE great Shawn Michaels cuts mini-promo for Penguins' 'HBK Line'
The Heartbreak Kid is ready for his visit to Pittsburgh for Game 5
Retired WWE superstar Shawn Michaels has been enjoying a bit of a renaissance lately, especially in Pittsburgh. The success of the Pittsburgh Penguins' "HBK Line" of Carl Hagelin, Nick Bonino and Phil Kessel, the Heartbreak Kid is getting the kind of attention when he was a world champ on the pro wrestling circuit.
The original HBK recently accepted an invitation to attend Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning. He'll apparently be sitting with former Pittsburgh Steelers star Brett Keisel and hopefully there will be a meeting of the HBK's.
In the days since the HBK Line has really caught on as a "thing," Michaels has been inundated with media requests and probably has no hope of keeping up with his mentions on Twitter. He's been eating it up and playing to the crowd like always.
On Friday night, Canadian broadcast institution Hockey Night in Canada invited the WWE Hall of Famer to come on and dust off the ol' promo chops to kick off their broadcast with an intro video that featured some of the HBK Line's better moments of the postseason.
Michaels was happy to oblige. Here he is introducing the HBK Line and if you're of a certain age, the 10-year-old version of you will get a little too giddy when Michaels says, "Now hit my music."

Now we'll have to see how the Penguins handle the Michaels visit as it is starting to get hyped up in a big way. Perhaps there will be someone out there brave enough to dress in Lightning colors to be on the receiving end of a little Sweet Chin Music.
It sounds like ol' HBK is ready for anything.
