What's at stake: The first leg of a home-and-away knockout in the Champions League.

Key statistic: These teams last met in the 2014-15 Champions League group stage, with PSG winning 3-2 in Paris and Barca winning 3-1 in Spain. They met again in the quarterfinals that year, with Barca winning 3-1 at PSG in the first leg and 2-0 at home in the second. The two also met in the 2012-13 UCL quarterfinals, with the teams drawing the first leg in France 2-2 and the second leg 1-1 in Spain with Barca going through on away goals. Barca always seems to get the better of PSG in this competition.

Player to watch: PSG star striker Edinson Cavani, who is Europe's top scorer. Cavani has 25 goals for PSG this season, seven goals ahead of second place Luis Suarez, his Uruguay teammate who plays for Barcelona. He's been on fire all season long and has scored in six straight games.

Form:

PSG: WWWWD
FCB: WDWWD

Out: Barca will be without Aleix Vidal after the right back suffered a horrific injury at the weekend. He dislocated his ankle and will miss five months.

Odds:

PSG 23/10 to win
5/2 to draw
Barcelona 11/10 to win

Prediction: This isn't the same PSG without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Unai Emery has yet to really make a convincing case that he is the man to lead the capital club. Barcelona knows what it takes to win Paris, and they do it again here. Barca 2, PSG 1.

Simulation: Using the video game 'Pro Evolution Soccer 2017' to simulate this match, it was Barcelona that came away victorious with a 2-0 result in France. Here are the goals.

Luis Suarez scored the opener with a fine, low strike.

Then the second came after Suarez won a penalty kick, and Lionel Messi finished it to double up the French and put one foot into the quarterfinals.
