Ravens' Danny Pinter: Headed to Baltimore
    3h ago

Pinter and the Ravens agreed to terms on a contract Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

The 2020 fifth-round pick spent his first five seasons with the Colts, but he's found a new home in Baltimore. He's made just 10 starts in his 77 regular-season appearances, but given that Tyler Linderbaum is now a Raider, Pinter could get a chance to compete for the starting center job with the Ravens.

Chandler, a 2022 fifth-round pick, appeared in just three games for the Vikings last season due to a knee injury, gaining 47 yards on 17 carries while catching three of four targets for 11 yards. However, he appeared in all 34 of Minnesota's regular-season contests in 2023-24, recording 643 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 158 carries. Chiefs' Justin Fields: Headed to Kansas City
    1d ago

The Jets are slated to trade Fields (knee) to the Chiefs in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports

With Patrick Mahomes recovering from a torn ACL that he sustained Dec. 14, Fields should have an opportunity to work as Kansas City's QB1 this offseason, provided he's past the knee issue he dealt with at the end of the 2025 season. Beyond that, it's possible that Fields -- whose ability as a rusher boosts his fantasy utility -- will begin the 2026 campaign as the team's starter, a potential scenario that hinges on the pace of Mahomes' recovery. Per Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site, coach Andy Reid noted in February that Mahomes has been making good progress in that regard, while the star signal-caller previously noted that he wants to be ready for Week 1 yet acknowledged that he "can't predict what happens throughout the process," per ESPN.com.

As Justin Herbert's backup last season, Lance saw action in four games (including a Week 18 start versus Denver), completing 27 of 57 pass attempts for 226 yards and a 0:1 TD:INT while adding 17 carries for 85 yards. Falcons GM Ian Cunningham confirmed Friday that Tagovailoa will compete with Michael Penix (knee) for the starting quarterback role in Atlanta, per Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com. Both are oft-injured left-handed quarterbacks, but Tua is the healthier of the two at the moment, as he passed a physical in order to effectuate his contract with Atlanta while Penix is recovering from November surgery to repair a torn ACL. Penix has a chance to be ready for the start of the regular season, but Tagovailoa could have the early edge in Atlanta's QB competition while Penix works his way back into form.

Vikings' J.J. McCarthy: Dropping down depth chart?

McCarthy (hand) is unlikely to enter Week 1 as a starter after the Vikings signed Kyler Murray, according to Alec Lewis of The Athletic.

For what it's worth, Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell declined to comment on expectations for a 2026 starter when reporters asked him Thursday. Reading between the lines, McCarthy's poor 2025 performance would make him a major underdog if a job battle were to take place, even against a post-prime version of Murray (who turns 29 in August). O'Connell is saying all of the things one might expect about continuing McCarthy's development, but odds are it'll be happening from the bench for at least the early part of the 2026 campaign.

Holani spent Weeks 13 through Seattle's divisional-round win against the 49ers on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury, but he did get some run on offense at times in blowouts or when injuries hit the backfield this past season, totaling 27 carries for 83 yards and one touchdown and six catches (on seven targets) for 49 yards in 13 appearances, including playoffs. The Broncos are trading the No. 30 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft as well as third- and fourth-round picks in exchange for Waddle (ribs) and a fourth-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Waddle has a chance to become the new No. 1 wide receiver for Bo Nix, joining a position group that includes Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin (hamstring), Pat Bryant (hamstring) and Marvin Mims. A 2021 first-round pick, Waddle boasts an ideal skill set for head coach Sean Payton's offensive scheme and surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in three straight seasons to begin his NFL career. In his two most recent seasons, Waddle has only produced 58-744-2 and 64-910-6 lines, but injuries and quarterback issues help explain his struggles. Waddle's fantasy stock gets a considerable boost for 2026, and there have been no signs that the rib injury that held him out for Miami's Week 18 finale will impede his offseason activities.

Across 13 regular-season appearances with the Texans in 2025, Kirk was limited to just a 28-239-1 line on 52 targets, but he flashed down the stretch, combining for 10 catches for 164 yards and two scores (15 targets) during the team's two postseason games. Although he faces crowded competition for targets, with RB Christian McCaffrey and TE George Kittle (Achilles) also present, Kirk could prove productive while paired with QB Brock Purdy in head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense, if a path to consistent opportunities materializes.

The contract agreement means that the Eagles will avoid a $20 million dead cap hit, per EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Questions still hover over the status of A.J. Gibbens signed a two-year contract with the Cardinals on Monday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Arizona was in need of depth at off-ball linebacker after releasing Akeem Davis-Gaither on March 5, and Gibbens has been tabbed as his replacement. While Gibbens started eight of his 17 regular-season appearances for the Patriots last year, he may not be assured a regular role off the bat with Mack Wilson (ribs) and 2025 fourth-round pick Cody Simon present on the roster. However, Gibbens tallied 81 tackles, including 1.0 sack, four pass defenses and one forced fumble in 2025, so production is possible if snaps ever come up for grabs.

    23h ago

Gipson and the Panthers agreed to terms on a contract Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Gipson signed with the Panthers in late October after being cut by the 49ers. Gipson will have an opportunity to earn an expanded role on defense for the 2026 season, though he'll likely see most of his snaps on special teams.
