Everybody focuses on the major conferences, but there’s always a team from a lesser-known league that makes some noise in the NCAA Tournament.
This year’s contestants from the Horizon League were considered to be top-seeded Oakland or Valparaiso. But to the shock of many, both went down in upset fashion in Saturday’s quarterfinals. And it was No. 4 seed Northern Kentucky, in its first year of postseason eligibility, that punched its ticket to the Big Dance on Tuesday with a win over 10-seed Milwaukee.
Here’s a look at the bracket and its final results.
