Athletics' Sean Doolittle: Allows third homer of the young season

Doolittle allowed a solo homer to Eric Hosmer on Friday night, his third homer allowed over his first 5.1 innings of the season.

Doolittle has never allowed more than five homers in any season, but is struggling mightily with the gopher ball to begin 2016. All three homers have been on fastballs located in the middle of the plate as batters look to be sitting fastball and not respecting Doolittle's breaking balls. Doolittle has always gotten by throwing a majority of fastballs, but will need to rediscover his ability to locate the pitch if he wants to return to his prior dominant form.
