Twins' Fernando Abad: Headed to Boston

Abad has been traded to Boston pending the completion of a medical review, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports. The Twins will receive pitcher Pat Light, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Abad has had a bounce-back season with the Twins, but has struggled since the start of June by allowing eight runs in 14.2 innings with just a 11:9 K:BB. He'll add depth as a left-handed setup man for the Red Sox.
