Yankees' Phil Coke: Signs with Yankees

The Yankees signed Coke from the Atlantic League on Monday, Mike Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports. The left-handed reliever will report to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Coke took the mound 18 times between the Cubs and Blue Jays in 2015, accumulating a 5.68 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 12 strikeouts versus five walks in 12.2 innings. Just one step away from the majors yet again, he'll have to wrench a 40-man roster spot away in order to do so.
