Odd injury alert: Casey Kotchman and Sean Burnett

Rays reliever Joel Peralta -- who tweaked his neck last week while getting sandwiches -- has company in the odd injury department: Casey Kotchman of the Marlins and Sean Burnett of the Angels.

With Kotchman, he saw a pop-up machine that was about to fall over. He reached out to grab the machine and save it from possibly being broken but, in the process, lacerated two fingers on his right hand. He had to get four stitches on his ring finger (via Fish Tank blog).

As for Burnett, he is dealing with a tight back. What happened? Well, he was picking up his son to put him in a shopping cart (via Mike DiGiovanna).

So what's the weirdest one so far? I think I'm sticking with Peralta's neck.
